Wouldn't be a shock if they found a way to make it work.

Don’t see Stamkos leaving TB, unless they totally low ball him on a contract offer.
Especially to go to a division rival.
He is Mr Tampa, his number will be up in the rafters after he retires.

It’s going to take some serious cap gymnastics to make it work

I'm sure this 99.999% true.

I'm holding out on the 0.001% AS A FAN that they could fight all odds and win.

Should Adams plan for it? Nope. Yet, if there is a chance, any chance he should throw all the chips in.

He's going to have to come out firing this offseason. Even his QO's are a challenge this summer. Waiting on Stamkos? I hope not.

Buyout Skinner and offer Stamkos a poop load of money for 2 years. 3 if necessary. May require selling PSLs for the club level nacho bar but thems the breaks

An $11M and $13M effective cap hit for Stamkos in the 2nd and 3rd year of his deal is worth it that much?

We're factoring in the Skinner buyout money there? If so then yeah I'm in 110%

It would give the Sabres instant credibility as a playoff team imo

Yes, as that's $1.4M, $4.4M and $6.4M the next 3 seasons.

Why is he trying to sell part of the team then?

Stadiums are expensive.

He's going to pay for his original Bills purchase price by selling 25% of the team and he's going to offset his stadium cost by selling PSLs/NFL revenue since he bought the team. He has no idea how to run a hockey team successfully but Jed Clampett paid for his entire purchase of the Bills WITH a new stadium in under 10 years. Fair play to him.

Sure, stadiums are expensive if you have to pay for them, he doesn't, or at least he only has to pay for a tiny portion of it

Like Hank mentioned, he's going to recoup his purchase price, it's all gravy after that.

Point is still that he's acting cash poor right now.

He's paying a lot more than a tiny portion, and the overruns are already mounting.

See where the Sabres rank in terms of salary cap spending the past few seasons.

There's also the NFL G4 stadium "loan" which isn't a loan so much as a forgivable investment from the NFL and Terry is reportedly receiving $200m through that program

https://www.nfl.com/news/...unty-to-build-new-stadium

"The NFL, through its G4 loan program, and the Bills agreed to commit $550 million in financing. The Pegulas' share came in at $350 million, with much of that made up by the team introducing seat licenses for season ticket holders."

Pretty much the % pegula is looking to sell would cover all stadium costs and still have controlling interest in the team.

Free stadium basically

Yup. He’s not leaving. Even if they low ball him at 5-6 mill or something.

Take taxes into account and he probly makes the same in buff at 8-9 mil
