False. Greenway plays soft. This team can’t afford to have its role players not playing their role. I can’t tell you how many times I saw that guy swat at the puck and skate by instead of taking the body. Unless Ruff can fix him, he’s gotta go. - SoCalPucks
He's good on the PK, and when slotted right he's alright. I said from day 1 I didn't like the trade. But here we are. |

The same team about to enter a 30 year rebuild once Crosby calls it ? - Swedish_Jesus
What was the window of time between the Mario Lemieux era and the Crosby era? |

Yeah, Krug was the only one I stated who did not to stay for like 6 more seasons or still be there..... Cause they "found" a younger better version in McAvoy. - DirtyDan
Douggie Hamilton is another one |

Yea I’m sure watching one of the best players in hockey win multiple cups sucked so much ass for them.
Also so they’ll be Buffalo, just with more success and cups? |

The Sabres are in year 13 of the rebuild with zero playoff or cup success to write home about and dude over there, saying how terrible the penguins have it.
I guess this is why we have Kevin Adams the best GM in hockey who revolutionized the sport. |

Donny never used him on the 4th line / healthy scratch.
We should ship him out. |

We’re talking the last 5 years.
Penguins have emptied the cupboards as they had an aging core.
I’m on team trade the pick this year for Buffalo, but this whole notion that they should be flipped every year as they are throw in’s isn’t the right answer either |

So you’re expecting them to sleep walk into another top 10 NHL player of all time within the next few seasons ?

How’s Nick Robertson doing for the Leafs? 30 goal scorer right now amirite?
Most prospects don’t pan out or take a loongg time.
We’re not picking top 5-10 anymore |

The current Sabres roster doesn’t have time to wait for a player to take 2-3 years or longer.
They need more immediate help.
We have enough 2-3 year guys marinating
Oslund
Savoie
Kulich
Rousek
Wahlberg
And many more prospects “developing” in Roch.

And the GM who took 5 years to build this predicament…will now solve all the issues this summer because of Lindy Ruff.
Never underestimate a voicemail ladies, that’s even including you inflatable flailing tube guy.

Yup, it's really the current GM who no longer has time to wait for development.

Necas, Jarvis, Teravinen were all drafted in the 12-18 range and had impacts on their respective teams within a few seasons.
You’ll see Wyatt Johnston and Thomas Harley later tonight.
Like I said, I’m all for trading 11 to get a difference maker. But just suggesting trading picks for the sake of trading picks isn’t it my friend

You want to trade some of the prospects for nhl support players, not core players. While simultaneously advising to continue the path of building through the draft.
The prospects might get a decent nhl support player, that’s it.
For your idea to work, the GM who drafted these guys and failed to sign supporting players is now going to trade his picks for supporting players.
It’s a 2D plan in a 3D world.
They are stuck between a rock and hard place.
RIP 12/25/24 - washedup20
It's PART of plan, just not all the PLAN
It's a concept you may not be familiar with.
Plans are normally complex, not 2 lines in a blog.
But, I'm rude...please go on. |

How much different would you feel about the Sabres future if Rosen and Kulich weren’t in the system and say Nik Ehlers and Lawson Crouse were? |
