how did that #1 goalie work out for the jets?
5.23 GAA
.870 save percentage - homiedclown
Sure as heck didn’t play like one that’s forsure.
That’s two years in a row Hellebuyck cratered in the first round |

xG was Bos 23 - Tor 21 for the series. Bos won 4 games by xG. Boston has better goalies by miles. Would be a stretch to call a single game stolen. - Lunaion
I’m going on the totality of the series.
Boston saving 9 goals over expected won them the series don’t you think ?
Bobrovsky and Adin Hill were the two best goalies in the playoffs last year. Don’t have to look far to see why those two teams went the distance

Toronto was 5 over expected with dollar store goalies. Last second deflection goes in last night and the story is how they stole them the series.

“Another classic series between the Maple Leafs and Bruins. Jeremy Swayman was outstanding.
The model improves to 7-0 by calling Bruins in 7.”

Pretty much how you'd project it.

Swayman stole that series.
But the fact that the Leafs may implode their core due to getting goalied is pure bliss.
Plus their GM is the one who got fisted in the Tkachuk trade and completely blundered the Gaudreau situation.
This offseason is going to be a movie - Swedish_Jesus
lol, bro, they haven't been getting goalied for 8 years.
But, sure, run it back again, we've all seen how well that works here

If the solution is trading Marner and his 29 points in the last 32 playoff games (playing the last 7 with a high ankle sprain) then god bless them.
Maybe Samsonov and his .896 sv% in 5 playoff games this year was the issue.
Maybe the fact their d-corps had no puck movers and their bottom 6 was allergic to offence was the issue.
I hope they do blow up the core 4 lol

Would you trade the home run pick Isak Rosen for Marner?
Do you think this high 1st round pick this year will be a right, center or left field home run?

Jeff Marek on Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen’s contract situation:
“Speaking of netminders the Buffalo Sabres' negotiations with their RFA goalie Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen should be fascinating to follow.
It’s no secret UPL has been miffed at times with how he’s felt skipped over and for good reason.
As the Sabres enter a phase where their big contracts all kick in and they need to watch every dollar closely, let’s see where the decimal point lands for their No. 1 goalie.
I’m guessing somewhere between $4-5 million on a five-year deal. We’ll see.”

Sure, but you can make excuses for the last 8 years. Florida blew it up after a President's Trophy year and went to the Final the next year.
Personally, I hope they do run it back, because that team should scare no one in the playoffs |

Almost 47m on 4 F's is a hell of thing to work around. Add in half their team on NMC/NTC's. They dug their own grave.

Dumb, boring, deflecting and annoying.
Your commitment to worshipping Adams and the plan has cost you a lot of hockey buzz credit.

Pretty big contradiction there.
KA set the expectation to pay well and early. Tough job buckling down. Probably cost them Mitts.

Good Post.
I do hope Kevy is smart enough to stay away from the various form of NTC/ NMC terms for anyone. For God's sake, the contracts are guaranteed...F them, F them all. |

I’d trade half the prospect pool for an elite talent like Marner.
I think I have a better chance of getting a blowie from Margot Robbie than Marner getting dealt in the division though so why waste my breath ? |
