I guess that I have to have Pasta tonight. I did up a penne special, for game 5 and the Leafs won. Did the same for game 6. Leafs won. Now it's a superstitious thing. Penne special tonight. Shades of Gilmour in 1993.

I said to God if the Leafs are gonna win Lord, let me catch a fish. There were about ten other lines in the water, including some hardcores on kayaks with all the gear. I was just throwing a classic spoon from shore.

I won't watch Leaf playoff games with any other humans lol. And I'm a fairly socially active person otherwise. But on a night like tonight people need to shut the (frank) up when the game is on, so no people is a very good system.

Man I have a BP cuff but I don't dare ever check it during games. I don’t need to see those numbers. I already know they're horrifying.

My wife has been out of town on business since Monday. She will be barred from coming home until the Leafs are eliminated.

We just got back from a bike ride as well.
Rode past Mill Pond downtown and saw a few anglers trying for some straggler trout.
They stock the pond every year just before trout opener. We rode by there last year on the Sunday after opener and there were still quite a few anglers. There were 2 boys around 10 fishing right where we stopped. Everyone was casting out as far as they could with floats etc. I laughed and handed my fancy polarized sunglasses to my wife. She chuckled, and then I said to one of the boys, “Try these on, and try to keep calm.” The kid struggled to keep his cool as he handed the glasses to his friend. The trout were cruising about 15’ from shore. No one was wearing glasses where we were standing, and everyone was casting beyond the fishies.
I told the kid, the glasses are too big for you, but keep them, you need them more than me. As we were riding away, his buddy was fighting a trout.

My daughter has joined me the last 2 games. She understands that now she cannot make any other plans on game nights.

need to put at least a 4 pack on the board tonight. can't keep hoping the goaltending wins the games for us and to keep winning games scoring roughly 2 goals or less per game (on average) like we have the last dozen games

Watching the 2 game last night, there were a total of 3 goals in both games. It's the way to win in the playoffs. It can be exciting but goal scoring is almost nonexistent right now.
