Isn't that what a full NMC clause is?

Totally agree. Leafs need to rebuild the right side of the defense and it starts with Marner and Liljegren moved for what they need. Samsonov has issues with concentration and it cost us a series. - PrinceLH
Lilly was horrible all series. On the ice to move the puck and when he was not turning it over he was handling it like a hand grenade forcing Edmundson to be the puck mover Often putting him in a terrible situation. |

We're all hurting here, after this game, but look at the bright side going forward. Probably getting rid of Keefe is a bright spot, but we had some great players emerging going forward. Matthew Knies is going to be a great power forward. I see a future 40 goal man and clutch. Bertuzzi and Domi played a great roll on this team and need to be resigned. Found money with Benoit and Dewar. These are players that make you a winner. McCabe is excellent. Woll is a legitimate starter. The Leafs just need to rebuild their defense, primarily the right side. We could resign Boosh for the 3rd pair defender. We also have two great young players on the horizon. Cowan and Minton will push for a spot on next year's roster.
It may seem bleak after losing a hotly contested series by a goal, but the Leafs have a bright future, where Boston, Florida and Tampa are tapped out for draft picks and players in their pipeline. The Leafs have a first rounder this year, where the above teams do not. A new coach and a re-alignment of the coaching staff will make us a contender next year. The passion was definitely there during this playoff round and they weren't pushed around. The future is bright. |

Nylander needs some support. Nobody else scored since game 5. |

No need to hide behind us. We could use a distraction. - jribout
I don’t want to distract the Leafs fans my man. Cracktown fans would muddy these waters if I start on here.

Woll + veteran goalie to back him up/hold the fort if he hits a wall is the way to go I agree. - Scabeh
I am quoting the wrong comment, but I am too angry and lazy to go back and look the correct one up. I usually agree with you, and it is not all his fault but I have watched that goal several time and Marner seems to be with Pasta from the mid point between blue line and red line on Bruins side of the ice to the Leafs blue line. Pasta even stops skating for a bit and instead of getting on the defensive side of Pasta, Marner just floats.
Maybe he can join AA in Punta Cana. Then the Leafs can Punta him into the sun

So we agree it wasn't icing and yes, the defense was sleeping on that play. |

Well he's at the same level in the neutral zone but Pasta has alot more speed.
I agree that he should have been on him but by the time he realized Pasta was charging, it was too late for him to gain enough speed to catch up.
It's a great play by Pastrnak, who was finally the Bruins best forward tonight after going to sleep for 2 games.
And yeah... I think Marner is done in Toronto. It's another year of him not giving enough when the team needs him. Nylander did all he could, Matthews was obviously hurt in a big way.... team needed Marner to step up and he didn't. |

All it takes is to make him feel unwanted & unliked. He’ll move on & still go to the bank. It only needs a suitor & who he’d accept a trade to & a deal to resign in his pocket. |

Woll is not the answer. He's injury prone and can't be counted on. - Leaffrog
Agree. Woll is good, like the kid, but he’s played less than 40 games in the league, you can’t lay the #1 on him just yet.
Make AM Captain.
Keefe has to go
Marner has to go
Lilly gone
Brodie gone
Sign Edmund and Boosh to friendly contracts.
Like Reilly but he’s not a #1. Unfortunately he’s signed long term and NTC.
I’d take Bert and Domi at good deals. |
