Once he got a healthy Kuzmenko, the PP got much better. But before it was a tyre fire.
Could the rumors of Savard's departure be due to a lack of interest in extending his contract? It's hard to say. Personally, I'm surprised that there's any interest in him at all. |

I would reserve judgement on almost everything after the year we just went through. We traded 2/3 of our core & the Markstrom situation carrying over. No panic to extend Kuz, Shar or Mang. If a great trade presents itself great. Find out what kind of $$$ these guys are looking for to extend & then wait until at least Christmas or early January & see how they perform. Are they leaders? Or were they carried by the very good vets we just traded out.
Hearing Flames like Necas. I wonder, if we take Kuznetsov(3.8 mill) off their hands & Necas for Markstrom? Time for Conroy to get creative. |

Read an article about how to fit Coronato and Pelletier into the line up. Someone needs to go. Unless they play the forth line but how do they excel their game there. My guess they start with the Wranglers until some trade happens. But who do the Flame trade away? |

Anyone. We would be selling high in Coleman. Mange is probably untradeable.
I hope they trade Pelletier away for D help. |

That's fcking crazy, Flames would take Lindstrom or Catton over Eiserman. - Kevin R
Agreed I think they would go center over an offensive winger.

Crazy how these lists differ.

Craig went so far out of convention that I'm reeling trying to decide whether he's doing his brother a favor by disturbing the narrative or has decided that variance will affect traffic positively.
In my opinion, and from what I've seen of these players, this ranking is absolute garbage. Pure trash. I'm left searching for motive.
Stay tuned! Got something cooking. |

If that were to happen you wouldnt be able to tell if Conroy was grabbing the mike or his woody when he goes up the stage & announces:
"The Calgary Flames proudly announce their 9th over all pick to be from the Medicine Hat Tigers Cayden Lindstrom"
That would almost compare to when the Canucks took Julovi 5th & let Tkachuk drop to us. |

I have not seen much of Lindstrom but getting him at 9 would be great! - DEDDIE
If he wasnt injured so much this year he would be a slam dunk top 5. No way he falls to us at 9th. If he did, wow that would be real real lucky for Flames.
Was reading on another site how Boston & Ottawa had discussed Ullmark at the TDL. Ottawa wanted to send Korpisalo back in the package & Sweeney flat out said no. I guess understandable with that contract. Then Garrioch was suggesting the #7 pick & Chychryn & Forsberg for Ullmark & I thought holy crap! Sounded ridiculous to me. Makes the Markstrom straight up for the #10 to New Jersey look reasonable hahaha. |

As does Markstrom for #7 and Korpisalo if there is significant negative value implied to Korpisalos contract.

Proposal by the Athletic today:
To Calgary: Jesperi Kotkaniemi and a 2025 first-round pick
To Carolina: Jakob Pelletier
Interesting concept. Presumably, the idea here is that Carolina would be sacrificing a future first-rounder to get the six final seasons of Kotkaniemi’s eight-year, $38.56 million contract, which carries an annual $4.82 million cap hit, off their books.
I am not a Kotkaniemi fan and dont like this trade at alll..... but I do like the concept of weaponising cap space to acquire 1sts just not for 6 years x 4.82. |

The 1st should be for taking on Kotkaniemi and his crappy contract. Not sure why we’re giving up JP? |

I check in there every once in a while. Some good stuff being written, but not as consistent as it should be. Wouldn’t suprise me as this site seems to be spiraling down.
They’ve lost some knowledgeable posters and we’re stuck with dippoops like Lord Micro Penis. |
