I can see it.
I think there will be a run on defenseman pushing him down and I think teams see him as a little one dimensional.
Now that dimension is elite and I would take it at 12. - J35Bacher
We certainly need a pure goal scorer. The loss of CG still stings a lot. |

Looks like all the good young teams are gonna be out west (Hawks, Ducks and Sharks). The door is wide open if the Flyguys don't eff this up! |

My Way early and probably wrong draft:
SJ - Celebrini
CHI - Demidov
ANA - Levshunov
CLB - Lindstrom
MON - Dckinson
UTA - Silayev
OTT - Buium
SEA - Parekh
CAL - Iginla
NJ - Yakemchuk
BUF - Helenius
PHI - Eiserman - J35Bacher
I would love that but I doubt we get Eiserman without moving up. Is Ottawa in a rebuild or are they looking to add to
What they have. Maybe move up to them would give us a shot at him or a top d |

I don't see Eiserman falling that far, he will be picked in the top 10. I mean the guy is the best pure goal scorer in the draft. One of the teams will grab him. - jd250
Lot of one-dimensional goal scorers have dropped recently: Caufield, Cristall, Kaliyev. |

I think Catton could even slide above him.
I could see OTT taking a defender. They might move on from Chychurn so I could see them taking a defender.
I like Farabee and I think he's not been used correctly but would you look to move him if you could get a top pick say from Utah or Ott?
I still think the best move is trading konecny.

Love tk but this is a good year to fail and move the players for pics. If it’s me Laughton and Tk are moved at the draft get some pics maybe add a pic w Florida’s and try to move up into the top ten still keeping the 12 not greedy or anything 🤣 |

The problem is it takes more than just shooting talent and pure skill to score goals in the NHL.
Does Eiserman have the desire to win puck battles, fight off checks, drive inside, get to the net, etc? Does he have the capacity to learn and adapt? Does he have enough manipulation and intelligence to beat NHL dmen? Is he clutch?
And failing all that, what's his fallback game? If he doesn't pan out as a primary scorer can he be projected as a middle-six? Or will the pick end up a total loss?
All things teams will have to weigh when deciding between him and the other options. |

He's been given every chance to succeed as far as I can tell. Do players always get a pass these days or is this just a narrative against Torts?

Would Konecny to Ottawa for #7 make any sense? |
|
|
|
Hossa, Matt Boldy, Noah Dobson, Necas, McDonagh, Gary Roberts, Tanguay were 12th-overall picks.
Hopefully the Flyers end up with one of those instead of a Marc Staal or Hugh Jessiman.
They won't be trading this pick. - Tomahawk
I wouldn't make that bet. I can def see them going the trade route for immediate help |

most are things you can work on and may not be answered by the draft. Rather take that chance then the safe next scott laughton.
danny doesnt seem to be a risk taker. |

I don't think you can teach a guy who doesn't have a chip on his shoulder and a desperate work ethic to develop those qualities. That stuff is innate.

yes you can teach work ethic if the player is willing. Yes you can also develop that chip on the shoulder imo. Comes with success and other things. |

Why I picked the Avs in this series. They smoked the Jets (my dark horse) and I watched most of that series (cause I had good odds on the Jets). Their top players are really on their game right now and that first line is taking over games. I only made it to end of regulation, but not surprised that they won. If the Avs get depth scoring they will be a very tough out. How the hell is Jack Johnson still in this league? It's like Luke Schenn...he was an orange pylon when he was with the Flyers all those years ago and he's still in the league. - Phillywhiteout
If they get good goaltending I think they win the cup. They have an extra gear that seemingly no other team has.

He just doesn't have that compete level to take the next step in the NHL. That's why I wouldn't be upset if the Flyers traded him despite needing all the centers that they can get.
