if I were Carolina, I'd probably work on special teams today

Carolina does what they do to everybody. They hunt pucks down and take a million shots from everywhere. Igor is their kryptonite. Its come down to goaltending and special teams. The two things that those of us who remember a pre-analytic hockey world have been told were key to winning in the playoffs. Goaltending and specials.

And now that referees don't swallow their whistles anymore, they're even more important.

lol I played minor hockey against him and his twin brother growing up and went to high school together, still good friends with his twin brother Paulo, he messaged me after the win last night. But Carlo was a band aid, always finding ways to get hurt.

Was thinking the exact same thing. Carolina has gotten their chances on the PP, and if their fans are mad they only have their team to blame. This team steps up when they have to, it’s a beautiful thing.

I think TJ mentioned it in the previous blog before the game that Igor is going to have to stand on his head and maybe steal one for us. Boy did he do that. What a gutsy performance by this team. Another poster mentioned Laf scoring so good call whoever that was!

Two down. Time to regroup and try and snag a road W. It may be time to sit Rempe. This series just isn't one where he is well utilized. Especially in Carolina where last change will be important. I would love to see Chytil in if he's ready but if not....maybe Brodzinski? He has a great shot and goals aren't coming easily
