Some quick thoughts:
1) There's NO WAY they're going to look at Troubas hit last night. People calling for a suspension for what he "tried to do" or "was thinking about doing"? Simply a ridiculous take! Lets just be happy that he missed and all move along.
2) Not many red jerseys in MSG last night. Despite Carolinas lame attempt to limit access for out of town fans, I fully expect the Rangers faithful to show up at PNC on Thursday!
3) What can Carolina be thinking? They looked so demoralized leaving the ice last night. They put up a supreme effort and are STILL down 2 games. I'm really shocked at their undisciplined play, this was unexpected! League refs have finally caught on to their bullsh!t pick plays and interference ( especially on face offs ) yet they seem unwilling to adapt. Rangers need to come out strong on Thursday and break these Canes early.
4) Tony --- that video that you posted: That kids Mom has a nice basement!
LETS GO RANGERS! |

Rempe had 5 shifts for a total of 4:03 in the game. I like him. I appreciate he's a goon and changed the dynamic of the team. But Brodzinksi is just better option at this point. - blacksheep1
If Jonny Brodway is a better option than Rempe, what is Chytil???

Oh my first choice is Chytil. I just don't know he's actually a realistic option to play. |

I know. We've covered that topic ad nauseum. I'm still just giddy over the thought of him coming back healthy and effective. Giddy like a flagpole! |

Can’t criticize Laviolette for leaning on top guys in 3P/OT because it worked, but it’s also hard to justify keeping Rempe in the lineup if they aren’t comfortable using him in close games. He took 5 total shifts and 0 after the 2P. Have to think change coming for Game 3. #NYR |

If they did more with the shifts he has you can argue for him staying in the lineup, but it’s been at least 3-4 games he did much of anything. It’s not his time yet. Eventually he’ll be a force/menace out there you’d hope. He too needs to get better on his skates, he seems to be easy to avoid contact which is what he needs to do to be effective |

The weird part is that it may make logical sense, but Lavy is old school enough to believe in not messing with a winning formula. And we're literally 6-0 in the playoffs with him in the lineup, 20-2-1 overall.
I also think if we are going to the finals it's a matter of when, not if, Rempe comes out of the lineup. So it's all about picking the right time to do it. I'm just not sure it's now after how chippy and aggressive that game 2 was. It teetered on the edge there for a while after they ran Shesty, and I bet you Lavy felt good about the fact he had Rempe dressed in that situation. You know they're gonna come out like rabid animals in game 3, so I wonder if Lavy doesn't keep him in the lineup for one more game at least and if we lose, he comes out for game 4. |

To be fair to Lavi, this is how responded when asked about it. He wasn't abrasive or arrogant in his response. So credit to him. I may not agree with minor decision he makes, but it certainly seems like he's completely engaged wit the Players.
Not like Gallant.

Not sure there’s a clip or anything of it, but another thing re: Rempe that was INFURIATING….when he merely skated near the goalie like what happens 1000 times a week in the NHL…didn’t snow him or anything like that…but that (frank) Sutherland came skating over like his ass was on fire to treat him like a 5 yr old because of it. Gimme a break NO PLAYER other then Rempe would get that treatment.
Man that got me mad 😡 |

I think it's because they don't want to get mangled breaking up a potential fight. That's not Rempe's problem but they're keeping him in check because of it. |

Too bad Trouba didn't injure himself as he clearly had intent to injure going in elbow out.... guy is a clown with little respect for the game.... |

Rempe is essentially a club bouncer. Hes huge and uses the element of his size to deter any shenanigans. |
