Edmonton gives up so much more defensively than the Preds. This series is going to be a roller coaster. - NorthNuck
Yeah, I think this is the series where it goes 7 and the team that lost the last game adjusts and wins the next and so on. |

I think the difference is Van is much more comfortable playing a defensive sloggy game. Edmonton can, but I think their strength and structure isn't that.
Van can play Edmonton's game better than Edmonton can play Van's. I think over the series that gives an advantage to the Canucks |

That's true, but I think Edmonton has the speed and skill to break down defensively strong teams like they did LA, even though LA didn't have the firepower that Vancouver does (nor the willingness to forecheck hard) |

I think that's a key difference. LA is fine to sit back and trap more, but Edmonton can easily play around that. Van is more of a forecheck/pressure defense.
Either way, will be a fun series |

Yeah I understand. 2011 still is a sore thumb up your ass.
I still like Boston
I do still like Bure, Mogilny and the others from that era. |

With the way Edmonton collapsed last night I do t have much hope for them. Either team has to beat either Colorado or Dallas. Not sure which one is going to make it out of that series |

Every oilers fan I’ve seen today so far are pretty quiet 😆 |
|
|
|
The D that I noticed last night (I only seen the third period and the last three minutes of the second) were Big Z, Hughes and Myers. I have not noticed Hronek for most of the playoffs.
Great comeback last night and PA needs to sign Z, Lindholm and Joshua in the offseason. These three players are most responsible for filling what we have lacked in years past. |

Hopefully every insider from Sportsnet is as well. Heck of a comeback. Watch 1 more game here in Sayulita, then it’s a 5 day journey home. Maybe catch Sundays game with Lefty and Don In Phoenix |

Hronek had a great game last night as well. Don’t expect any changes in the lineup. |

From the point I turned on the game the Oilers had 2shots for the rest of the night. Hard to think anyone had a bad game for Canucks. I was very impressed. From that point it never looked like Canucks were in trouble or being outplayed. McD was invisible and Drai looked like he was injured.

Cole made a few gaffs, Silovs had a few moments, Oilers were buzzing and got a few lucky bounces. 6 shots for the Oil in the last 2 periods but still 2 goals. Canucks stuck to the plan and the Oilers crappy D didn’t disappoint.
What time is it in Edmonton? 5 past Skinner! |

I really enjoy watching Joshua Garland and Lindholm. Miller looked like it was his game and everyone else was a tier down. Blueger is coming back next year no questions.

I am not surprised about Silovs. He is still a kid and it was a new set of pressures. I think he will be better next game.

Could only really blame him on the one goal. The other ones were tough breaks that you'd want your goalie to get (and Demko probably could have had one or two of them), but I don't think he's at fault for much |

He looked fine from what I had seen. His body language looked a little tense, but I thought he came through.

Those last 2 goals he gave up could have been deflating, Canucks showed some resiliency and battled back for him. It looks like the team has really embraced him as a teammate. The Miller wearing his shirt for practice only solidifies this. |
