They also praised Wilford and what he’s done with the D, which is a real head scratcher, especially if you look at Ion’s example above with Bryam… solid for 3 games, then lost and absolutely no one clears the front… I guess we gotta hope it was a Donnie thing?!?
Also annoyed that they wouldn’t kick Ellis up to the booth last year to keep Peca but did just that for Seth…
This organization will be ass backwards until a Pegula is not in charge - Gr8daygo
Yup. This is not a serious organization.

I still think Benson made the team by default due to quinn injury, savoie being hurt and they wanted kulich and rosen in rochester for 1 more year
if benson could be in rochester this fall, I am not certain he is a lock on the roster over rosen, kulich, or savoie - homiedclown
You are not wrong with Savoie injury and Quinn., also with holding back Kulich and Rosen.
Those guys will all compete now for a spot or two.
Benson had a very good season, especially for an 18 yo Rookie.. and he won that position out of camp due to his play... This board was going nuts about the thought Adams may ship him back to Juniors back then, and it turned out to be the proper move to reward him.
Just because he didn't put up historical points for a 17 YO doesn't mean he didn't play well. He did, and he learned a long the way which was invaluable for his development.
Now if they can get one of those other 3 to produce like that it will be awesome. |

Love what Appert had to say about Rosen's game growth, he's really rounded out his game, where he had a lot of defensive responsibility and still led the team in scoring. He has an impressive game for a guy who was slight and weak in his own end in his draft year.
As I said all year, I still think he's the closest prospect forward to get more looks in Buffalo. Big summer to build strength. - TheSabresTaco
Ya, he needs to build strength and mass out a fair amount to withstand the rigors of the NHL.
I would love to see a 3rd line of Benson, Savoie and Rosen skating circles around everyone. They won't do it though.

I wouldn't rule it out... but Greenway needs to be on L4 IMO. Seems he tops out around 30 pts in a good year.
I want L3 to be in the 40-45 range myself. |

Was actually going to say that due to strength of class, that 2025 1st may still be more coveted. That class is looking pretty wild. |

Just looks like another disappointing offseason to me. They need upgrades, not to slot rookies in.
I do agree with Krebs. He isn't good and if he has any value around the league it should be used |

Well, minus Mitts, I would say that B6 is an upgrade.
I have lowered my expectations for Kevyn to actually close a deal, especially when he has signaled his intent. We can virtually lockout any major UFA signing, and trades are difficult for some.
So you believe Kevyn will be able to pull off significant upgrades? |

I considered bumping it up a few more notches, but knowing it's a year out and likely/hopefully a few picks later made me hold back.

Why am I betting on an unknown over a known quantity?
Those players, who have multiple years of development in the Sabres system outside of Wahlberg, who has already proven to be at the very least an interesting prospect, should have more value than a completely unknown, un named asset.

I do not see the peca, briere or drury to lean on up front
or the teppo, mckee, rhett on the back end
if up a goal late in the game is there 4 guys on this list you trust to kill a penalty?

Lindy had a big tendency to play vets like Greenway up in the line up. He's probably going to have a favorite that drives us mad.

Don't know much about trenin and Joshua but i suppose I dont count the 4th line in my upgrades because that simply has to happen.
They need an experienced center middle 6 and a top 6 winger. Do I think adams gets it done? No, I have no confidence in that but he's been talking a big game so let's see some poop go down
Benson is a great example why rookies are not going to save us next year. As much as I liked him he had little impact
