with all the prospects we have that could play on the wing for the top 6

I do not see him as a fit

skinner, tuch, peterka, quinn

throw in expected growth from benson and all the prospects we have picked in the first 2 rounds

not to mention the small chance tage goes back to the wing

I would be after a center for the top 6, or a middle 6 winger that is more a 2 way guy with a bit of jam

He is a great player. The cost might be scary.

rosen and krebs for 1 year of him

yes or no?

he does not do much on pp and often a no show in the playoffs

his last 3 seasons were 3 of his 4 worst for shooting percentage

hell of a 5 on 5 player though

All perspective, but anybody who can play a full 82 games and go ppg is great in my eyes. So few can.

I forget though, who's your off season targets? If you could grab one guy, within reason, who'd it be?

I would. That's a big upgrade. Rosen is going to be decent, but not that guy.

Ahh yes. Go watch literally every single team left except for the bruins.

It’s extremely noticeable

Or that every goal UPL gave up was a result of his suck vs the other players sucking, or the other team just makes a good play (it happens, crazy i know)
- SDSabre

UPL was 0-6 this season when we could’ve gotten within 4 points of a playoff spot.

UPL has proven he can’t steal games.

Great article. Fun read.

It’d be nice to think that Buffalo has turned upward from the trough. If I’m Lindy Ruff, I’d have it put in my contract that Ownership has to commit to me for 4 years and after Year 4 I get an opt-out option, essentially guaranteeing the 5 years because the obvious issue, more so than flawed roster construction and cap misuse is that the high draft pick kids who show up to Rookie Camp One Year, finish Juniors, show up for extended camp Year 2 and work a year in the AHL, by the time they’re delivered to the roster, the Coaches, the Developmental Model, and all of that investment has been deemed a failing model and so the vibe around them is that they were the previous Admin’s failed projects which kills confidence as well and so the spiral begins.
If you aren’t willing to give a Coach and Front Office the same amount of time you’re willing to give an ELC+RFA Term Status, you have no business hiring those guys in the first place.
Continuity is King.

Except for the games he does steal? I don't get that.

I don't get that either, I believe Starting in February there was only 3 or 4 times he lost back to back games. And a few of those he allowed 3 or fewer goals.

The prospects are valuable enough to bring in NHL impact players now, this years 11 is a steal, better than the 1st round draft picks that are being traded for NHL help. It’s about 3 years down the road anyway.
