He also did say they were going to be aggressive in acquiring players in the off-season.
They've also had good conversations with UPL and his agent and that UPL believes in the team and is intent on staying here. - Powerslave
Thanks. |

23 or 24 year old with upside
other teams have them, no reason why we can't find one
money is no issue and adams did not draft one for the first few years, so go out and get a 23 or 24 year old free agent - homiedclown
A 23/24 year old FA? Pretty unusual for anyone in that category to be good. You're talking undrafted/unsigned college guys?

Unfortunately, for now.
Huge company I worked for (Yellow Freight) filed for bankruptcy and shut it down. Had a few job offers, but I really liked the people I interviewed (4 times) with here, even though it was a late afternoon shift. - Powerslave
WOW, did not know that about Yellow Freight.
I'm sure you're making the best of it, and that's a that matters.
Something more to your liking will come along soon. |

Good luck with your new job. |

Alright, here's my hair brained idea for the day:
11OA + Rosen for Kadri (2M retained)
Calgary is in need of a rebuild and at 33, with 5 more years left on his deal, they're probably going to be shopping him. At 7M, I don't think it's feasible, but at 5M it's at least in the realm of possibility. He would automatically start as our 2C, move Cozens back for a year or two, then those roles would reverse as Kadri slows a bit. The last year or two might be tough, but given his penchant for strong defensive play, he can probably stay impactful in a bottom6 role down the road.
Thoughts?
Edit: It may be too light of an offer, but I would add if need be. - QuinnFan
I like it. Attitude and cup winning pedigree. Plus he would troll the leafs.

Estes bought a bunch of properties, equipment, etc, as did XPO and Pitt-Ohio, among others. I loved watching the other trucking companies pick away at our bones 😩 I was there 19 years.
I was lucky enough to kept on for a couple months as part of the wind-down crew (same pay and benefits), working with customers to purge the remaining freight in the system (thousands of shipments), inventory our terminal here in Tonawanda (172 door facility, with a huge equipment repair/maintenance shop, about 200 trailers, 100 tractors, forklifts, office equipment, etc etc etc) and basically close up shop.
Took about 6 weeks off (had the new job lined up and they were gracious enough to allow me to pick my start date) and yes, received a severance. |

All perspective, but anybody who can play a full 82 games and go ppg is great in my eyes. So few can.
I forget though, who's your off season targets? If you could grab one guy, within reason, who'd it be? - QuinnFan
When has Ehlers been a consistent PPG player? |

Wooffff... That drive sucks
Sun in your eyes both ways for the normal 8-5 job.
Must be better for 2nd shift
I did that drive for 6 months when I was promoted into Corp in Roch from a Sales job in the early/mid 90's in Buffalo, but lived in Clarence back then.
Good luck to ya... Things work out, keep the faith. |

Thank you, Ion. I can make it home in 45 minutes at night, when it's just me and the trucks on the 490/90. The drive in blows, but like you said, just keeping the faith for now. |

Mind bottling how some people right. We shoulda upped our schooling level to nip this problem in the butt.
Edit, saw a new one the other day. An internet savant, proclaiming his life long loyalty to the canadiens wrote, “I am a ‘died in the woods’ Habs fan,”. - Ratsreign

The answer is , " what has never happened in his career", Alex
And he is getting 1st line duties putting up 60 pts.
Skinner

They need Ehlers Avg 45/50 pts why? |

Ehlers drives play and is an analytics darling.
Big part of why he hasn’t put up the points is because he’s been in a depth role in Winnipeg.

Devil’s advocate here...
Why is he still in a depth role if he is so good? |
