Sounds like Chytil at LW was the #NYR plan all along:

Lavi: "It was just conversations with Chris (Drury) about his past. A lot of things that we've been doing in practice, maybe not noticeable, but it was in preparation for him to come in and play some on the wing."

See what having a plan can do?

I was not a fan of the hire but happy to admit I was dead wrong. Man's a great Coach who really has a pulse for his team & by all accounts just a great guy all around.

David Quinn you almost cant even blame. Gallant I still think is a decent coach, I mean his record is pretty good, but he doesnt adjust if he isn't winning. Its his downfall

I should know this but was it really that early? I know within days post Cup Win he wanted out. He couldn't stand Neil * of course wanted a fat contract after winning LoRD Stanley's Cup

I mean do you blame a guy for interviewing with management or the management that hires a clearly unqualified dude?

I think it was after game 5 vs NJ that all that poop hit the fan. That whole upper hierarchy had massive egos if I recall and almost “touched the money” as they say
