This makes sense. I think in a couple of days of practice you might see Likker.

I hate to be the Debbie Downer, but I really cannot see the Canucks advancing against the Oilers, not with the way they backed off last game, too timid, no intensity, with the odd rush, otherwise Edmonton dominated play.
It was a good season for the Canucks, positive season overall, but this is where it ends.

This is a pretty realistic post. This is the most likely scenario.

Canucks win only if they dig deep (more than what they are giving now). Like the Pacino speech in Any Given Sunday "you have too fight for every inch".

The series is tied 1-1 and last game went to overtime. Pretty premature on the postmortem.

I tried to cheer for the Leafs exactly once and they lost in game 7. Bunch of female doges.

Edmonton didn't dominate play.
It was 1 line on Edmonton that dominated play. That is their strength and also their weakness. While it is impossible to stop McD, Drai, Hyman every game, they need to limit the bleeding when this line is on the ice. The rest of the Oilers are hot garbage and this needs to taken advantage of every game to offset.

Zadorov trolling Edmonton. The only thing there is to do in Edmonton is watch hockey.

Thx Yorkie

Agree with RT 3rd period they laid back too much & zone exits sucked.

Pettersson’s skill is undeniable, what bothers me about him is he’s so soft he’s always holding his hands up like he’s saying sorry if he did something to someone or hooked their stick. Crosscheck the fucker in the face.

Doesn’t stop me from cheering for him though. He’s a really important player for the team.

- Pacificgem

His skill is there no doubt. Yes a top 2C needs wingers but I rather see him gel with Lindholm as his C. I know it didn’t work out at the start.

If in the offseason it’s a hunt to get a winger for Petey it won’t come cheap if either a UFA or trade & it would be a huge effect on the roster dynamics. Namely less cap for the D something that would set us back big. If Leki earned a spot that changes everything but that is a risk passing up on offseason moves during free agency & highly unlikely a late trade could happen.

I prefer we resign Zadorov Joshua & Hronek for starters to keep the D intact. Still others for depth needed. If could manage to resign Lindholm as well it’s a great top end roster up front & on the D.

PA has his work cut out for him.

Interesting.

When I said that about one of your 2 favourite Canucks, you said it was being negative.

- Reubenkincade

No lie lol

Also easy to say sign Guentzel then not continue on to who else signed & for what. Big coin would mean an upheaval on personnel & loss of chemistry.

Do you ever have anything positive to say? You’re sure a whiny little focker.

Also, apples & oranges, Hronek has been a great addition, however, a top six winger is of greater importance at this point. It’s been a tremendous year, really enjoyed it, but there’s room to move things around and be better next season.

- Pacificgem

Define ‘room’ instead of being so vague.

He isn’t whiney when pointing out yours. Lol

Ya sure 2-2nds after paying a 1st & 2nd left with a hole on RHD that was a problem we all didn’t like in the past. Explain how that gets filled.

Time for captain Quinn to shine. I look for him to have a great game.
- Bettmanhatesus

Past due he gets the calls all other stars get. No probs he’s a target that is PO hockey. Kane slew foot got nothing not even a fine. Hughes doesn’t embellish nor whine so no reason refs choke on the whistle.

Joshua-Lindholm-Garland
Åman-Blueger-Lafferty

Hughes-Hronek
Soucy-Myers

PDG doesn’t appear to be on the ice.

Hog & PDG both have been ineffective.

You can take solace in that when the Oil eliminate the Nucks.

Pod the better choice on the wing. Aman has stonehands.

Imo it will only end if they sit back & keep sucking on break outs. There was no reason why they played like that in the 3rd. Oil are not impressing me in the slightest & ripe to be had if more aggressive. Their D & Skinner are very exploitable.

Ah yes, the 1 period that the Canucks played poorly and the 2 Oiler players dominated weighs more than the other 5 periods. And that game went to OT where the Oilers scored a bad bounce of a goal.

The Oilers deservered that game, but the Canucks can and have easily played with the Oilers. Sucks your team has barely made it past the first round, but quit projecting your insecurities on us.

Not really sure what Aman brings aside from sound defensive play.. maybe the ability to chip in as center and double shift some other players?

Would like to see Pod in as his hitting could be nice on the forecheck. Miky hasn't done poop either

I only seen the third period of game one but they were down 4 to 1, so I would think it was more than just one bad period. That said I think if Canucks play their best then Canucks win.

Not really Silovs wasn’t solid when the Oil lucked out on deflections like Cole Lefty’s boy. Otherwise we were the better team overall.
