There's a lot of 50'ish point dmen making around 8 million, and with the cap rising he will most certainly be getting a good offer from someone. Best comparables on that list are Dunn & Orlov ignoring his age. Dunn is on PP1 Hronek isn’t. Orlov isn’t top pairing Hronek is. Doesn’t make Hronek top pairing either if on a better D corp on other teams. He comes in as a #3D imo. Means he’ll get paid of course but that doesn’t say how much that is like some just continue to say.

I think those days are gone. I don’t believe any player is taking less because of situation unless that situation is tax free state, and then they get strict trade protection. Or they’re old and chasing a cup/trying to stay in the game (Phil the thrill)

Nothing against Myers but it will come down to cost for either of them. Both play a similar role & Tanev has proven to be steadier & can play with Hughes whether Hronek is back or not. Versatile.
