Old news. This has been going on for a couple of months now with him. It's no revelation. To be honest, I think we won't see his game come back until he has the summer off to deal with his mental state. Reminds me of Boeser while he was going through his emotional issues.

A fair point. However great players find ways to get through it when it matters most. Hoping Petey shows up in game 5 and has impact.

See... this is what you can't help and leads to discussions turning into a NH poop kicking. Grow the (frank) up.

Well yes Hronek, Suter Mik and a few others need to step up as well. But it was also interesting to see Pettersson's response and body language today. He knows he needs to be better and its the time to bring it.

Honestly if someone would have told me that Brock would be the star of the first two series and Pettersson invisible I would have laughed my ass off lol

- LordHumungous

Hronek has flown under the radar with Petey standing out as low hanging fruit. Hronek is maybe the leading passenger. Miky hiding under them both but just as culpable.

Let me know when the "best record since Knobgobbler took over" banner gets raised. I'll watch that game.

I'm pretty sure he has had a impact in this series. Just not the offensive impact we need. RT putting him out on the PK which has been very solid for the Canucks is one example. Putting him out when the Oilers have the goalie pulled and he's throwing his body in front of shots and clearing the puck cannot be denied either. These things contribute to holding onto the win. Same can be said in the last series as well.

Last Canuck team that got hot at the end of year & went on a playoff run?

1982 King Richard & company. A far better & improbable run before these Oiler pretenders.

I said earlier I liked the spark Petey had in the latter part of the 3rd. A good stepping stone to getting untracked. A good sign more is to come in a best of 3 series. Oilers beware.
- Nighthawk

The oilers looked gassed in the third. The thing with them is when they get a man up the chances of them scoring is pretty high that’s why they whine a lot looking for calls because they can’t win 5 on 5.

Petey has contributed in other ways absolutely correct. But' it's time for the offensive impact. The Oilers are a different beast than Nashville and we need certain players to step up to get past this series. Garland and Lindholm have stepped up huge. Time for Petey and Hronek.

The time was long ago for that. Don't get your hopes up.

Since you are talking about offense, Miller has 1 more goal than EP in the series. Need him to step it up as well. Boeser, Lindholm are doing all the heavy lifting scoring wise.

Petey could be a difference maker in these 1 goal games. Pickard isn’t a top notch goaltender get er done ffs.

The boys are gaining some valuable experience and they are doing quite well just need a little more and keep battling. Lots of guys haven’t played through that much pain like RT says you have to embrace it and dig deep.

Very true but it’s not the time to be satisfied just yet. The Oilers are ripe for the knock out. They got their jammies on so put em to sleep.

Maybe you missed this part of my quote:

The Oilers have the best record in the NHL since Knoblauch took over.

I’m sure the refs are sick and tired of the oilers whining about every call and non call against them, that was funny when the ref lifted Ekholms broken stick over his head 😆

Also true Miller could score a bit more and that will come IMO just the dynamic of how he plays. EDM is focusing heavily on Miller plus his shutdown role on McDavid takes away from his offensive impacts. Miller contributes so much especially creating open ice for Boeser. If Boeser continues to score of Millers assists all good lol
