Just read this on a fantasy trade site, I know it doesn't help now, but it does make some sense for both sides.
Utah trades Conor Geekie, one of McBain or Crouse plus a 2nd this year and next, to the Canucks for a signed Hronek and Ilya Mikheyev.
Utah gets a valuable defenseman, which they badly need for the new location, plus a serviceable forward, while the Canucks get a good young player in Geekie, some size and grit with either McBain or Crouse, plus a couple decent picks.

Fair enough, he/they need to figure things out, it's not going to get easier.
TBH after what I saw last night I don't like VAN's chances on Thursday. - VanHockeyGuy
I’m not as optimistic either. Time to call out all the losers pumping Petey’s tires & making excuses & fine with 11.6m. Dummies defend regular season stats then double down with more excuses. |

At this point, Milky is reaching worst Canuck in history status. The dude is absolutely useless. 1 goal in his last 60 games. He creates nothing, I’m baffled he’s still in the lineup - RT doesn’t even mention him anymore. He needs to be jettisoned into fawking space. He shouldn’t play another game. Hogs was invisible. Petey is definitely not playing well but come on man - his wingers are doing/have contributed NOTHING! RT has to try something different. Put the lotto line back together, why not! Match them up against McD/Drai. Or put Petey with Garland and Dak.
Still have Lindy, Blueger, centring the other 2 lines. What we’re doing isn’t working - make changes!!! I feel like we’re back in the Travis Green era.
Cole MUST to come out - Soucy and Jules should slot in next game.
Lafferty is horrific - he gotta sit. Even Bluegar could sit.
Hronek has to start shooting - stop fawking passing inside the O-zone.
Bains, Pods, Sasson, Raty could all slot in and they would be NO worse than PDG, Laff, Blue, Hogs, Milky, Aman, Matching them up with any of Edmontons bottom 6 would be fine. - Brooks_Light
“We’ll be talking about [potential changes] tomorrow. We have some guys that might be getting in the lineup for us.”
Tocc is not happy. Think we’ll see a good amount of turnover on the forwards. Would also like to see Pod draw back in. Question his finishing for sure, but he brings a damn good work ethic and forechecking ability |

That will only fly for so long. I really hope he can figure himself out. He's not helping the team right now. |

I still think there’s some underlying physical issue that’s compounding his clearly shaken confidence. People selling him off right now are idiots though. |

He will figure it out he's very young but what we are seeing is very very scary. |

If that was the case I don't think RT would have singled him out. |

He hasn’t really singled him out. He’s called out amounts of players and reporters asked about Petey.
But even if he’s injured he’s not giving all he can. Everyone has an injury this time of year and they push hard through it |

Wyatt Johnston, who just turned 21, has 7 goals and 4 assists, several of those goals were important ones.
Pouty is an important player for this team, he needs to pick it up |

IMO, the forwards have been getting ou-hustled and out-muscled, the team needs to add whoever they have that can help offset that. |

Petey is such a competitive guy, I have trouble believing the issue is simply him not trying hard enough. There has to be some other issue, whether it's an injury, illness, or something personal. He looks miserable out there.
I have also noticed several other guys on the team passing up opportunities to give him the puck on numerous occasions. |

Every game has been decided by one goal. They aren’t really getting out muscled, but their powerplay has sucked and Petey hasn’t been good enough. I’d like Hughes to find another level too, but he may be injured. |

Thanks nyn.
I love how close this series is.
Great to see coach Toc calling out the passengers.
I think Lafferty started with Pettys line for about a shift and the Karlsson was back there.
I’d expect him to be swapped with PDG.
Would love to see Hoglander come back like a wrecking ball.
Soucy back will be significant.
Not sure who is more of a liability- Cole or juulsen tho.

Time for a redemption line:
Hog - Petey - Podkolzin
If Hog and Pod can be annoying wrecking ball players and loosen up the puck, maybe Petey can provide a little magic. Good line to try at home when they have last change. Plus they’re playing 3rd line matchups so that should be fine |

Good call.
As others have said, we need to turn the effort level wayyy up. Even my 12 year old was noting how we were losing all the 50/50 plays last night. |

That’s dumb.
He’s not a rockstar. He’s just not playing well enough.
It’s his first taste of playoffs and is playing with plugs.
A little adversity will be helpful in the long run.

He needs guys on his wings he has chemistry with. Hog and Mik are simply not that. Crosby was able to produce for years with Kunitz even though he wasn't the most talented guy because they were so good at reading off of each other, Petey's chemistry with his current linemates has been non-existant. |

Needs a burrows type imo.
Hoglander was fitting that role previously… |
