Yesterday I said I was happy for the extra day between games. I was wrong. Just get the misery over with. This being dragged out doesn't feel good. - blacksheep1
Agreed, but this is also the same bunch that blew it last year too. Im the pessimist and I dont have faith so Im twisting here, after the loss the other night I was (frank)ing fuming, its my nature - Brukie
All good man. I get it and it's easy to go down the "it's the same group as last year" path. Fact is, it is mostly the same group but with a different coach calling the shots. I think that can make the world of a difference too. Going into an important game with a coach who is apt to making adjustments and getting the most out of these guys. Also someone who has been there before and won it all...I feel thats important. i know most of the anger is emotions and we all are anxious for good reason. This is the year the team needs to show us they're not "the same group." A convincing win tomorrow helps do that

The good is that this team started the playoffs 7-0, quite the difference from last year.
The good is that this team won the presidents trophy and has home ice advantage.
The good is that this team hasn't lost 4 games in a row all season.
I get that game 5 was a dud, but it's the first dud of the playoffs in game 5 of the 2nd round, in a series where they have already won 3 games. You'd think this team would have earned some grace from the fanbase not only over the course of the regular season, but how they started this post season. - SkjeiStadium

Tough to blame Trouba for Game 5. He wasn't good but he was far from the worst.
This is my favorite still from the game. WTF is Gustafsson watching here? - blacksheep1
That’s the problem, he was just watching. Boyle in the Up in the Blue Deats podcast pointed out that the goals were a collective issue, where almost everyone on the ice screwed up, not just one person. That’s a bigger issue
They will. I think the two days should help. I mentioned last night that if I were the canes I’d have wanted to play last night, not wait a couple days.
We’ll see what Lavy is made of most of all - Slimtj100
Disagree with the last statement here. This core has had many coaches, good, mid, and bad. We'll see what Panarin, Mika, Kreider, Fox, Trocheck are made of most of all. They play the game.
Good post Jan. As painful as it might be you hit the nail n the head. Good coaches makes make changes like Bindamour. Not it’s up to Lavy to match him.

Chris Kreider (maintenance, per NYR) did not skate today. I asked Peter Laviolette if there is concern about his availability for Game 6 or if he's expected to play and this is just normal playoff maintenance.
"I'm hoping that today was just a normal playoff maintenance."
