In Toronto - I guarantee actual protests outside the rink - Big23Questions
I'm sure all the season ticket holders who are currently preoccupied at the university encampments will give up their seats in a rage filled protest. |

Umm yes? There are literally non hockey fans out there who would drop Roger’s and Bell over this. - Dozzer
So, why haven't all the Leafs fans already dropped Bell and Rogers for their playoff failures?
Because they can't get TV, cell service and internet from the local corner store provider.
The billion dollar corporations would continue to be billion dollar corporations.
They provide garbage service at horrible prices but have a duopoly that guarantees everybody still uses their products regardless of how angry people get at them. |

Just saying don't expect a difference here really. First rounders will be dealt like candy - Aaron_85
Well last year's first rounder turned into Cowan. Take that candy any day of the week. |

I don’t think Shanny and Tree would have said during the year end grilling, over and over, that they are considering all possibilities, if they didn’t have something in mind, a poker in the fire. Otherwise, to threaten that so loud and clear, and then come training camp, have no changes, would look pretty bad. Gonna be an interesting summer, Tree is going to earn his money. |

Yep. She's all gloom and doom here for sure. Need to load up on a ton of 4th liners again. Might drive most of the crew away.
One can only hope. |

Yep. This is Tree's show now. Shanny had to eat the poopt sandwich that the Shanaplan failed. |

Shanny was one of the best power forwards in the NHL during his playing days. He bought into Dubas' idea of pure skill and no grit. It didn't work out. Turn the page. Detroit made it to the playoffs but took some time to eventually win. The PP has to be better. The goaltending needs significant improvement. Team ethic, team defense. It was the Dubasplan - Shanny just bought in.

Dubas has gone on the record to say that he's not opposed to grit, but the player needs to be able to play hockey first and foremost.

Or he's going to lose it all at the craps table, trying to gamble on free agents to save this team.
Guaranteed they're going to run it back with the Core 4, they had their chances last year, but now it's the players calling the shots and they all want to be here and prove everyone wrong... again... |

Because Kampf sucks and Cizikas is a solid player who the Leafs can use to replace Tavares in the face-off dot and kill penalties. So he actually earns his 2.5 AAV salary. Retaining 2.75 AAV helps facilitate moving the other 8.25 AAV which allows the Leafs to add a LW and a RHD for that open cap space.
So, long story short, you get rid of Tavares and Kampf and you replace them with a C, a LW and a RHD. If Cizikas can score 10 goals, you sign a winger who scores 15 goals (Joshua?) and a RHD who prevents goals and the Leafs are a better team.
Because Buffalo is closer to his family and Long Island is where he might feel comfortable playing because he played there so long before he came here. If they can get his cap hit low enough, he can go to a lot of different places. I'm just picking two spots that A) he'd be comfortable with and B) could use him. - Rare_Jewel
JT is already playing where he wants to be.
Wish all you want, he's not waiving his NMC to play elsewhere.

that because the Leafs hoarded their candy and kept their 1st.
They should do the same and keep it and NOT add it to a JT trade which will not happen. |
