You're both right. Carolina was statistically one of the best teams in the playoffs. What's funny is the Rangers are among the worst. Yet here we are.

My sauce says Adams 1st priority this season is to extend Krebs....numbers I'm hearing are in the $4.75mm-$6.75mm for 8 years. Adams sticking to his plan, my sauce called me and said something about fabric but it was choppy, he was talking through the mascot head which muffled the info...stay tuned.

The Sabres have for a long time (prior to TDL Chychrun) been wanting to transform the defense
They realized that (1) Do we want to give this type of player a long term deal to play 3C, or 2C whatever when we already have two long term C's. (2) Can we use this as an opportunity to not only reshape the D with a long term top 4 player to match with our core and (3) we can find a lower cost center that better suits our needs in a lesser trade
Offloading Casey Mittelstatd for Bo Byram is significantly more than about money. That much is crystal clear.

The question is, is Bo Byram going to be a quality long term solution that mirrors the success Casey brought to this team.

bold, yes, and half of them play RD. I don't know how many times they've talked about how they don't give a poop how they're labeled (RD/LD) and care more about if they're suited to play there.

Dahlin has better metrics on the right side, for example. Power can play right as well.
