As for the over the glass call, that was so close, Laf's stick was right there and no ref had a perfect look at it. I'm fine with not calling it, no way you decide a game on that call. |

Not a lot of work getting done this morning on the future of the Toronto transit system!! - Tonybere
I walked into my classroom this morning still so amped up that I "Panarin Leg Kicked" a chair over that a student had not pushed in. A few students had the WTF expression on their face but I few guys in the back new exactly what was up and started talking Kreider this and Kreider that. It was glorious.

It’s good they’re adding that to review because that couldve really burned us. But yea it was close and very tough call |

Yup, could you imagine if it does deflect and they call a penalty... I'm fine with no call unless it was blatantly obvious. I'm of the opinion its a dumb penalty anyway and should have never been changed |

No way, man. They had to put it in. Every time guys felt any pressure they just put it out and stopped play. It was bad. |

Yeah, I'm fine with that call. It adds more opportunity for offense and that call *should* be very cut and dry. |

I agree to disagree. And you are wrong
I mean I get it, but i hate changing poop. I understand if a dude blatantly launches a puck to get a whistle, but then you also get someone just trying to chip the puck or accidently over the glass with no pressure, a penalty for that is just plain dumb |

It's a horrible rule. It was put in to stop people intentionally delaying the game (which was a legit problem back in the day) but now every accidental clearing over the glass by the defender is suspect. I mean if Laf's stick beats the Carolina player to the puck and it goes over the boards clean its the same situation but no penalty. It's just stupid. Thank god that wasn't the call.
That said, I'm annoyed Rod B was complaining about the penalty for the hit on Zibs. You don't have to like it, but it was pretty legit.

Exactly
Apparently the league is cracking down on any type of crosscheck. They were told to look for it during the playoffs |

The problem is players were intentionally throwing the pucks over the boards to delay the game and now it's almost always accidental. The Carolina player didn't even have possession of the puck. He just wacked at it. Clearly unintended. The application of the rule is horrible. Keep it on the books as a deterrent but call it when it looks like it was intentionally thrown out of play. |

That's because it's now a penalty... of course nobody is intentionally doing it to delay the game like they used to |

I know it might be rare, but could you imagine a SC final game being tied in the 3rd with say 5 minutes left and a player goes to clear a puck off the glass, no pressure, the puck flips up on his stick cause of bad ice and it goes out of play, gets a penalty and they lose. What a horrible way to end a game |

I don't know what that means, but you realize any companies twitter account is probably run by some 20 yr old getting paid 10 bucks an hour |
