KFc needs to aim higher than Roslovic.
- Elbows15

He will get his chance chance with Hatfield and others butr tehy have to want to miss the playoffs and come.

Taking a defenseman long shot, conseravtive or hoe run swing means they really have to get more forwards at the mercy of the draft.

A fine tactic in a defense-heavy draft...BUT...the last defense heavy draft, in 2008 (Kyle beach) STILL have defenseman playing, Vancouver's Tyler myers, Doughty, karlsson, Pietrangelo, Luke schenn, Erik Karlsson STILL PLAYING...tells me, can they select the guy who stays around?
Can they pull a different sort than their current supply?

Who says the defense part of this drfat starts this early?
Only the persons NOT making the selections!

Who is Hatfield? Do you mean chatfield? I see him more of a depth guy. He would be fine.

If they are taking a D-man, it is Buium for me. He has won at every level. His hockey IQ is much better than Levshunov, imo. I watched Levshunov quite a bit and he always left me wanting more. Tho, I am aware that Levshunov has made a lot of progress in two years.

Gonna have to trust the guys making the picks.

yes Chatfield for NOW.

Big if...is he an all around upgarde of the Korchinski selection?

Doe she bring more or different?

I am nor so sure.

I want that next step hyrid defenser who does it all, and despite the diverse defense class I am noir sure tht guy is here.

Whomever they select should they stay at #2, the glass half empty crowd will rip the selection as a reach.

I actually wouldn't mind if they traded out of #2 to a lower spot in the top 10. Not sure if there's a trade partner for that, but they could still potentially land the player they want, plus get additional assets or have a chance to move up from #20. I'm about to get ripped, I'm sure.

I do not want conservative slection at slot two...get me the best player who is 4 years is giving everyone fits defender or attacker.

The big trade partner I see and they ONLY one is Ottawa dropping down and Philly climbing up for London's Richard erson

He is already better defensively than Korbustky. He set the record for points by a Dman in the NCAA as a freshman. His speed is prolly a bit slower than KK once KK finally gets going but his edge work is far superior as is his short area burst. Better shot, too. I see him as an upgrade but that is not surprising as I don't think much of KK.

For me, if you like a guy at 5 or whatever, just grab your guy at 2. Especially in this draft where any choice after one has pros and cons.

If that is the criteria, then Demidov is prolly that guy. And yes he does look like a guy skating with skates a size or two too big for him. lol

You complained ad nauseam all season about how slow Korbustky is, now you’re suggesting the Hawks choose a guy you say is slower?

Agreed. Unless you have a few guys and you could possibly trade down and gain more assets.

I'm game for KD trading down, problem is you have to have a trade partner. With the huge difference of option's on this years prospects it will be interesting to see if any trades happen in the top 10.

I know it's unpopular but I like Lindstrom at 2 he checks a lot of Boxes Hawks needs. Is upside is Hugh. High ceiling medium floor imo. Yes there are injury concerns but considering he is still rank in the top 5 tells me it's not affecting his draft stock.

I'm in your corner and no reason to get ripped
I would be glad to draft oh say 6th and next move up⁹ to around #10..Eiserman might be gone but other top players will still.be available. Would be great if either Eiserman or.Caton still on the board

Don't overthink it. They sucked for a reason and the reason was to get the highest pick they could. I mean, why else make us watch the like of Anderson, Megna, Tinordi and all the other bums this season.

Hmm. If his medicals are fine, maybe but I don't think his ceiling is as high as some think. His sample size is real small. I would like it better if he had a whole season of productions.

Good points but as far as Demidov he hasn't really gone up against high level competition and far as Levshunov what is he going foward is he a number 1 defenseman or is more of number 2 or 3 type of defenseman Lindstrom not whole body of work due to injuries to really know what kind player he can be. So there question marks on all three

A 1st round pick for Ehlers Zach? What's the point of this rebuild then?

Makes no sense to me. Looks like Carolina had another successful season

Shesterkin just keeps bailing their poopty defense out.
