Whatever. Buium gets from point A to B before Korbustsjy even think of where to go
- Elbows15

So you want to draft the smaller slower less aggressive dman then Levshunov?

And Buium would get from point A to point B before Korbustsky because he’s slower ….

Too many choices, you look at Silaev, Demidov, Levshunov, Lindstrom, Eiserman et all and they all have aspects to their respective games that make them attractive.

Taking the Russians out of the mix, unless the Hawks are guaranteed to get their target in Chicago next season I think KFC chooses Levshunov if he goes defenseman and Lindstrom if he goes for a forward.

Can’t trade a #1 for Ehlers, doesn’t fit the narrative, too old. I would sign someone of Ehlers age as a FA, just not long term, but at least they’re not giving up assets. By the way, I would trade Tampa’s pick for a good young player, young being the key word. Crazy how the board is all over the place with pick #2, I say they keep it.

one guy set a record for NCAA d-man. the other didn't. One guy's compete meter is never off and the other is inconsistent. One guy was defending the lead in the championship game and the other wasn't there.

One thinks the game at a really high level and the other has many question about his hockey IQ

So, yes. Give the first one.

He also isn't slower than leshunov.

Quickness matter. I guess we can all enjoy watching the bust lose another foot race to a puck because he need 8 strides to get up to speed.

To get average as soon as possible. Anything after that is gravy.
- mohel

Average is for losers. Average gets you a participation trophy in April.

I’m with Wiz on the #2 pick: if the Hawks’ scouting staff projects a guy not named Celebrini to be giving other teams fits in a few years, that’s the player I want them to take. D or F doesn’t matter.

Well at least we know KK is athletic enough to not get blown up along the boards, will Buium be?

If the Blackhawks draft him I'm on board, but i just don't see it

You do like your Denver defenseman

Quickness is vital no doubt and I’m pulling your chain because you said he was slower but gets to pucks more quickly. I knew what you meant.

I saw Buium play twice so I have no real opinion of him. And I can’t really compare most of these guys because they don’t compete head to head. I’m looking at the draft lists and Levshunov seems to always be in the top three. I’m fine with whoever the Hawks choose as they have scouted all of these guys.

Philly Russian goalie prospect possibly returning to the mother country due to homesickness? Not the Russian goalie prospect that had to stay there for another year to fulfill military service.

Look like our old buddy, Jeremy Colliton, may have been let go by Vancouver's AHL affiliate.

It would be great if Toronto hires JC as HC.

Who is Hatfield? Do you mean chatfield? I see him more of a depth guy. He would be fine.

If they are taking a D-man, it is Buium for me. He has won at every level. His hockey IQ is much better than Levshunov, imo. I watched Levshunov quite a bit and he always left me wanting more. Tho, I am aware that Levshunov has made a lot of progress in two years.

Gonna have to trust the guys making the picks.

- Elbows15

Buium as #2 pick? Please.

Good points but as far as Demidov he hasn't really gone up against high level competition and far as Levshunov what is he going foward is he a number 1 defenseman or is more of number 2 or 3 type of defenseman Lindstrom not whole body of work due to injuries to really know what kind player he can be. So there question marks on all three

What high level competition has lindstrum played against?

Same argument can be made for Demidov. It’s just one more thing for these scouts to weigh. What are the tools, against what competition, over what period of time, attitude, willingness to improve without being told/forced to, etc.

I will go ahead and predict the Stanley Cup match up

Florida vs Dallas

I am not totally confidant Dallas upends the Avalanche

I am unsure that Florida can stop the NYR as either team a strong argument for them to advance is meritorious. In fact the Vegas oddsmakers should have a very close betting line

Anyone not concur? What would be your reasons why?

How about those Vancouver Canucks who even outshot Edm 35-23 and are ahead 3-2 - will this series go to a seventh game?

So, how would everyone feel if the Hawks go with either 2 D-men, or two forwards with their first rounders this year? I’d guess there would be less issue with the two forwards, but just curious.

Can't take Lindstrom, he's had 3 broken legs, a collapsed lung, and mole removed and that's just in the last 2 weeks.

Stay away from injury prone players (unless they drop to #20)
