Brind’Amour extended in CAR

I'm surprised there's not more chatter about how either Rod, or the organization, really blew it with this. They had soooooo much time to get this done earlier than the playoffs, and at the very least earlier than a huge 2nd round series that would be razor thin.

Even if they will all claim it had nothing to do with the outcome, I can't imagine being a fan of that org and not being supremely pissed that they let this become even a shred of a distraction in this situation.

I think the only winner of the Guentzel trade was Guentzel himself

He continued to prove how awesome he is and will get a massive contract from someone this summer.

But Pittsburgh not getting a 1st round pick in the deal is brutal and the trade likely cost themselves a playoff spot with Malkin, Crosby and Karlsson not getting any younger.

That's another good point no one is really talking about. I guess at the end of the day pens definitely needed to get something back for him with a playoff spot very much in doubt at the deadline, so can't be too upset. But in retrospect that probably was the difference in them not making it.

I had a weirdly good feeling once Carolina made the guentzel trade, and we got roslovic wennberg ruhwedel. Just look back at the cup winners moves over the past 20-30 years, getting the big fish almost never works. It felt like good juju for us in a weird way, cuz you knew he was going to continue to kill us in the playoffs.

I wasnt particularly thrilled with the Roslovic trade, but hes been ok. Solid straight line N-S speed, just wish he had more scoring punch since hes playing with Zib and Kreider.

I am heading up to Worcester for my daughter's grad school graduation. Wearing a Knicks hat on way up and have two Rangers hats for the time there. Am sure I will be well received

Jan.

They drafted him last year and usually you get rights for 2 years before you have to sign them but is it different with him because he was drafted as a 19 year old?

Speaking of ELCs, sounds like mitchkov’s khl contract is getting terminated and he’s coming over to Philly. Can’t believe he fell to 7th

Watched that Peacock short series documentary on the 1990 Yankees, informed me more than I knew about that abomination of a team. Didn't realize what a scum bag Mel Hall was.

The whole thing is sick but it's the grooming that is so deceiving & disgusting....even besides that part Hall was a sh!t person as a teammate, the hazing & embarrassing of Rookie Bernie Williams he did

The more rest for him the better. Good news with game 1 being Wednesday, almost a week off to heal between games.
