I am going to watch, remember that team all too well. Unsure if the 9e Mets or 90 Yankees were worse

1990 was last year Mets were competitive with what was the shell of the 86 squad. They finished in 2nd behind Pittsburgh. That ended the 1984-90 seasons when Mets were either 1st or 2nd every year. Starting in 91 the Mets really went in the tank. That period too was only time in my 40 years of following sports Mets consistently were the better team than the Yankees. But they only had 86 to show for it & lets face it even that was very lucky. Took a ALL TIME Game 6 comeback to beat Boston.

I am heading up to Worcester for my daughter's grad school graduation. Wearing a Knicks hat on way up and have two Rangers hats for the time there. Am sure I will be well received

I live in the Boston Suburbs and I wear my Ranger hat all the time, no one says poop. should be fine.

Kreider is the longest tenured player in the Rangers organization and holds the NHL record for most Stanley Cup playoffs goals before playing his first NHL regular season game, with five.

Huh?

This is the lineup im hoping for this week. Need a bigger and badder 4th line, and Fil has to be ready by now doesn’t he?

Kreider Zib Roslovic
Panarin Trocheck Laf
Chytil Wennberg Kakko
Cuylle Goodrow Rempe

That is a formidable 4th line that could be a difficult matchup for Florida. They want some rough stuff let’s give it to them 😈

Truth is they have 3/4 guys who could be scratched since we’re relatively healthy. We have depth out the wazzoo. We need more bangers imo. I’m Vesey biggest fan but also realize the opponent should dictate the lineup some. This is a big boy series we’re entering

Vesey can kill penalties. Rempe hasn't been given that role yet. Vesey can also move up and down in game if there is an injury.

For me it's always gonna be Vesey over Rempe.

I agree in that I think Vesey is going to play without a doubt. If Chytil is a go, Vesey will take Rempe's spot in that projected lineup. However, could anyone see Wheeler being inserted? I know we don't particularly love him, but I feel the NYR brass do. Has Kakko done enough to stay in the lineup? I know that line has been great together, but what do you guys think?

Defensively Kakko is better than Wheeler, but that line has to start scoring.

I find it hard believe Rempe isn’t playing vs this team if he played in the other two series

Chytil and Rempe have to play imo. If fil can’t that’s one thing, but if he can he/should will and then someone we don’t expect is scratched. Whether Vesey, Kakko, Wennberg, Roslovic, etc…Lavy has a decision to make on who’s scratched.

They practice today I assume so maybe we’ll have an idea

I guess we'll see on weds, but I'm of the opinion there's likely no way we see Rempe in this series. Mayyyybe games 1 and 2, then that's it. But his lack of skating ability, defensive reliability, and the refs looking to call penalties on him makes me think playing him won't be in our best interest. Mayyybe game 1 or 2, but even that's a coin flip for me.

Obviously we need chytil playing if he's ready. Don't play wheeler. Don't scratch vesey unless we're coming off a loss and need a shake up or something.
