I think it's just that the team is out of gas, they've never really had enough time in the lead to be able to slow down and play their pace during the series. They've been chasing mostly from the get go and it's caught up to them now.

They just look spent these last few games. Tank is empty. Petey Hronek pretty much invisible. Hughes feeling all of the hits. A few others a bit in over their heads. Silovs gained great experience & won the back up spot next year imo.

This feels like Game 7 in 2011 in the Finals, where the Canucks were just done after giving it all before in Game 5. It was bound to happen at some point, and I'm sure we'll hear that Hughes, Petterson, Miller and others were suffering injuries that if it weren't the playoffs, would be sitting for a considerable length of time.
