I wonder if the bigger heavier bodies of the Nashville, then Oilers series wore down the much smaller Canucks team. Hughes and Hronek on defense, are small/light, Pouty, Higlander, Garland, Aman,Blueger, Suter up front, are all fairly small/light players.
The Canucks need to get bigger bodies, both up front and on defense, where you can have only 1 lightweight.
Also, a few more Canadians. - Reubenkincade

Pretty sure they won't pay him QH money. - VanHockeyGuy
When did QH get his money?? when is QH next due for more $$
If both QH and FH were UFA's at the same time, then there is no way FH makes nearly the same as QH..

Great ride, petey looked like he started to figure it out those last two games. Hopeful for next year!
People that think this management group will trade this core after that huge growth season are missing the big picture amung other things. |

His NTC doesn't kick in this upcoming season and he was a complete no-show 12 out 13 playoff games. We'll see. - Marwood
Simple Jack logic is back baby! Between this and conspiracybuzz it should be an interesting summer |

191 points in the last 2 seasons, but a couple bad weeks stretch and he should be fired into the sun |

Ya, you are right, they should do another overpay and give Hronek 8x8.5. This management group isn't actually known for value contracts, with the fairly large overpayment to a 2nd line centre at 11.6 million, a 3rd line winger(barely), at 4.75, so I am sure Hronek will be added to the list of overpaid Canucks, while many will fantasize that players such as Zadorov, Myers, Joshua etc will sign teamfriendly deals. |

191 points in the last 2 seasons, but a couple bad weeks stretch and he should be fired into the sun - NorthNuck
First off, from February until mid-May is more than a couple weeks.
Secondly, he had a very good last half of a season, then a good 1st half of this season.
Thirdly, I mentioned last season, if some of these players are capable of consistently performing throughout a full 82 game schedule, never mind the playoffs.
Of course it didn't go over well with the usual suspects in here, but just maybe I wasn't wrong. |

If Pettersen wants big money he is delusional He is not elite enough to get those kinds of dollars. Quit reading your own press clippings and come back to reality You did not produce and got to this point had nothing to do with him I would move on from him in the future |

My opinion on that is that when you have a guy with superstar potential who has shown the capacity to learn and grow from the feedback he gets from the coaches and management, it's a stupid idea to move on from him.
Canucks fans have maligned the lack of #1 overall picks in franchise history, well guess what, we have 2 guys on the team who might as well have been #1 or #2 picks in their years. A bad stretch does not mean you should consider trading someone like that.
For further example of this see: JT Miller, Brock Boeser, Conor Garland. |

Brock ufa at end of season next year. That's going to get interesting.

Joshua wiil be around 3M/yr
Lindy will be around 6M/yr
Zadorov will be around 6M/yr
Hronek will end up being around 7.5M/year when he signs the extension (wherever that may be) - stefano76
I can see 7m max rather low 6 |

Not at all. Keep two solid goalies. You'll be doing the team a disservice to trade one – you're not going to get a return that's better than the goalie at that position. And if they one you've kept goes down, you've (frank)ed yourself - NewYorkNuck

Before coming to Van, Miller had a grand total of 3 goals in 61 playoff games. Patience and calmness is something not a lot of Canadian markets have. |

I wonder if they trade Pouty.
The off season will be interesting. - Marwood
I sure hope so he is overpaid by 3.6 mil. Way too much for a player who will score 70 points top. As I have said a few times he skates like he sh1t his pants and constantly ends up on his ass.
Hronek and Mikeyhev need to go also. Overpaid.

I have been saying all year, getting to the playoffs and winning a round is a good metric for success for this team. They achieved that, and even though the opportunity to go further was there, and the loss hurts right now, there's no reason to panic and try to over-correct. |
