As fun as it is to watch you piss yourself out of anger with Petey at every opportunity, summer presents better options to pass the time

And you and the other four Guardians will somehow be here defending your boy day after day.

Well it’s too bad the Canucks didn’t play the whole game like they did the last part of the 3rd. Funny how that works, could have been a total different outcome.
Edmontons bottom 6 looked a lot better once they took Perry out of the lineup, seems Vancouver didn’t have an answer for that. Zadorov must have sustained an injury of some sort, he wasn’t the same the last 2 games. Great series, too bad the oilers won. I’ll be cheering for Dallas the rest of the way cause if they make the Stanley Cup Finals, my Flames get an extra 2nd round pick.

Even though it's highly unlikely, it would be interesting to know what Carolina was offering for EP40.
- VanHockeyGuy

No chance EP40 goes anywhere. Need to assess his PO play next year if they make it lol

Do you consider trading Demko for a haul and save the money?

I wonder if the bigger heavier bodies of the Nashville, then Oilers series wore down the much smaller Canucks team. Hughes and Hronek on defense, are small/light, Pouty, Higlander, Garland, Aman,Blueger, Suter up front, are all fairly small/light players.
The Canucks need to get bigger bodies, both up front and on defense, where you can have only 1 lightweight.
Also, a few more Canadians.

- Reubenkincade

Yup.

Oilers - 19-20 Canadians.

Canucks - 3 Canadians.

It's a factor that was mentioned...

Do you think Rock Tochett and EP are a good match? Tochett seldom had golden boy on the first line and often moved him to the wing. Their styles are nothing alike.

Regardless they will watch EP closely for the first few years of his deal.

He looked to be coming around that last few games and I think he can get his PO scoring down.

Just needs to work on his core strength as does Hughes. They were dummied around out there a bit and only thing that saved Hughes' ass is his amazing skating.

Nashville took alot out of Hughes IMO.

That will be Nighthawks contribution alone.

I think it is going to be a quiet summer in here. No draft picks and no cap space.

Hronek 5/6.25m based on his regular season & PO play combined.

Z 5/5m simply have to resign him. He probably wants more but banking on him luvin Van.

Myers 1/3m like him or not need him at a good price til Willander is ready.

Add in Soucy that makes it 5 D & lots of size but need more. Puts the focus onto the top 6 F’s & Petey training to be better on his feet & skating. Brock resigning is no rush. Gotta believe Miky could be gone. Hog a year under his belt has to take another step. Pod the time is now to come to camp as a beast & break down the door.

lol whenever Nighty and Neemer post (and a few others) I usually get this burning smell as they are trying to think too hard. It was a good finish to the season so draft picks elude us and the cap will balance itself.

Good chance it will look the same in 2025
- VanHockeyGuy

If true then it’s a top 6 F coming here either by trade of picks or dumping cap with picks for a UFA.
Probably a combo is likely if not simply Hronek out & dominos to follow.

He is going to be the next Jeff Skinner, but keep defending his fifty game slump. As a poster from another team just posted he is no where near elite.
- VANTEL

He has had glimpses of elite but sustaining it nope. Needs a big off season to add more to his game. Yes wingers are needed but it starts with him nothing else til he improves his strength & speed. Slowing down the game doesn’t cut it in the playoffs. No time or space he found out the hard way.

Z is in the drivers seat. Idk if he cares to go to Toronto or not. If about the money then it’ll be an interesting off season in how PA juggles the cap. I believe he luvs & found a home in Van foremost. How that translates we will see.

This is a good point.

I think Canucks have to take a look and see what style of play they want to go with this summer. Having four shots halfway through the game was an embarrassment. TBH I only watched about 10 minutes last night because it was easy to see it was not going to end well.

This team is not built for tough close checking low scoring games. They can play tough sometimes ( half the team), but if they are not getting a lot of scoring chances
they are a .500 team not a .650 team.

They need to determine their style and then determine who they want to play that way.

Keep Z if you can as agreed I think he likes Van. Myers bye bye.

Hronek only if there is value.

Complete no show last half season and PO's except he scored last night lol

I think RT wants more from Petey to drive play & less pulling up. Everything else is fine.
