While I actually do agree with Tochett though, the team has grown in this area, there is still a huge mountain to climb in terms of the rest of the world/league respecting the Canucks.

He most definitely is not, he was in October when I placed the bet. If he were getting that now I would have put my mortgage on it.

If Myers and a few others up front are gone bringing back Lindholm and Big Z shouldn't be a problem but it will take some money moving lol.

If I was MNGT right now I would be meeting with Tocchet and just be honest and say 'what do you need to make the WCF next year' and go from there. Tocchet knows what's needed to win in PO's IMO.

Yup, he's not getting traded but it's fun bringing it up.
He definitely needs a couple of talented wingers instead of the garbage he's been playing with on a lot of occasions. After fixing the defense last off season, I hope a rugged winger or 2 with some offensive punch is one of the priorities this off season.

I agree that he is not being moved this summer. Before TDL next year is a possibility if the return is good and how the Canucks are playing at that time.

He needs to be playing with the top players. Guentzel is not coming here so he needs to play with Miller and Brock otherwise his production is going to take a hit.

Great offseason fun is ahead for us.

Before coming to Van, Miller had a grand total of 3 goals in 61 playoff games. Patience and calmness is something not a lot of Canadian markets have.

Yeah this coaching staff has turned many players around for the better. Petey and QH will learn from this too. It’s just can everyone be on fire again and have the support they need. Team had a lot of players on bargain contracts.

Going to be challenging navigating cap on who can be kept and who can be brought in to replace.

I was playing around on CF and thought instead of overpaying look at other alternatives.

Instead of bringing back Hronek in the high sevens trade his ass to MTL: Xhekaj and Mailloux Winnipegs first for Hronek and Hoglander. Two young D ready to play in the NHL. Much cheaper.

Zadarov will need also to be an overpay so another option is Brendan Dillon for two years at a much cheaper rate.

Instead of overpaying for Joshua , Boston are looking to move Debrusk who is a true top six guy who checks more boxes. He will be more expensive but fits the cap.

For the right guy like Evan Bouchard I would consider moving Demko. Short term woes, long term gains.

As I always say you don't have to agree with the names but the process of finding replacements is what matters.

I think if the team is keeping Petey he needs to play top line. Crazy having a player paid that much playing second line. Bring Lindholm back and Debrusk and Garland riding shotgun.

Demko out only if big moves made ‘ needing the cap space. That would be a very significant UFA or huge trade. Too big of a risk next year could be a set back from the momentum gained. Cannot see PA not going for a cup run. The following year could make more sense.

Congrats on a very good season that surpassed the expectations of most hockey fans.
Definitely some good players in Vancouver and now you have an idea how players perform under pressure.
A learning experience for Hughes and Pettersson who will be better next time.
