There’s a word you seldom hear these days. Yeah, old KD sure got himself hood-winked and you can be sure it won’t be the last time. - paulr
How about babboozeled that you can't stop hearing on the Progressive (I think) commercial. Completely sick of that one

Marner, Matthews and Nylander are happy they never got this far. They had a nice safe day on the links. |

Florida’s defense amazes me, outside of Ekblad, the other defenseman were rejects from elsewhere. Wasn’t Montour analytically the worst defenseman in the league when in Buffalo.
Forsling waivers, Mikkola FA, Blues and Rangers didn’t want him, Kulikov FA, historically a bottom pair defenseman, Ekman-Larson signed after being bought out by the Canucks. |

And Moose Jaw answers with 3 in the last 10:00 of the 2nd period. 4-3 thru 2.... Gotta love jr hockey.

Chicago?
To replace KD? Not likely I think. Above KD or kinda 1A-1B GM tandem. I don't know if this guy is full of it or what. - Rota's Rooter
Considering how well he's done drafting I'm thinking he would be a great addition to the Blackhawks org

Interesting. IMO you can not scratch a healthy Chytil. .... Think he was out maybe 4 months with what's believed to be a nasty concussion.

I love that Florida team. Beautifully put together by Bill Zitto, extremely well coached, great goaltending. Mean and nasty but can play any style you want like the old Islander teams.
And Forsling has grown into being a great defenceman.

Could be, didn’t Maurice quit Winnipeg because he said he couldn’t get thru to the players?

As i said with my prediction of Florida, it really helps that they are responsible with the puck. Have a play they make it if they don't they dump it or back it out and reset. Gotta love their forecheck when they do dump it. Rangers did come out tonight and are trying to match their intensity.

Why even though i talk and think like i know what i'm doing, you wouldn't want me as your GM.
I would've drafted Johnathan Drouin over Alexander Barkov back in 2013 |

I don't entirely understand the, 'too similar' players in Bedard and Kane - not in the sense that, that sort of explanation seems to imply that Kurashev is a defensive wiz.
Nothing against Kurashev, he had a really nice season, but I mean Kane is Kane- and Kane is a lefty shot playing the off-wing - and imagine that he'd do at least as good a job there as Kurashev (yes sure I am intentionally underplaying it - Kane vs Kurashev ? Ore you kidding me? Kane even older- all day long, and that's just a dispassionate analysis.
The other point being -so if that could be done, you'd essentially be saying that Kane is a replacement for Tyler Johnson ... Tyler Johnson??? Well nothing against him, but he's never been Patrick Kane in any way shape or form. I'd do it, if Kane is open to it. Not entirely sure that he is, but he does have the advantage of having 3 rings already ... so I mean -well who knows? Would be pretty cool if it could be made to work.
I imagine that could mean that Jones would be moving on only because ... I dunno -- I figure there was a bit of lack of professional respect for Jones' hockey ability.... or put differently - that video I reference all of the time - where Kane questions where Jones was going ??? I honestly didn't know either .... doubt you can actually use guys in leadership roles doing that - and I guess if Jones was genuinely interested in going to 'a team not in a building phase' - you really try to accommodate that. I didn't entirely mind Jones' play - I mean he had some really awful stretches, no question about it.... but -yeh whatever- use it if you have to ... |

I don't understand either, Kane's always been the catalyst for his line. Kane and Bedard on the power play would be fantastic, but then you'd have two top 6 lines with Bedard on one line and Kane on the other. You could resign Raddysh and I'm sure he'd pot 20 goals on the same line as Kane and this past year Raddysh has become better defensively. Win win |

I know Fox gets a lot of fan fare but to me Miller is a defenseman who's skill and size are best suited for playoff hockey. He's been really impressive in this series of all the Rangers defenseman |

He's been really good for sure, but Lindstrom he is not. This Florida team reminds me so much of the Blackhawks during their hey day they are so in sync as a unit. |

I agree he’s no Lidstrom, but he’s playing a great all round game. |
