Freidman mentioned that Martin Necas was in the reported deal for Elias Pettersson involving Carolina & Vancouver.

With all the smoke around Necas, Friedman wondered if the #Canucks could circle back and name dropped Filip Hronek since CAR needs D. 👀

I give him credit where it is due, he knows he didn't have enough top 6 players and 1 of them was needed to be spread o to 3rd lin(Lindholm), Finding a winger for Pouty is going to be a priority, which will reduce capspace even further.
My last point was overpaying players, like Mikheyev, who has/is a 3rd liner, making 2nd line money and Pouty being paid as though he is a top 5 player in the league, which he is not.
IMO those are 2 contracts that have eaten up an extra combined space of about 4 million, both signed by Allvin.
Not that complicated.
Anyways, there are some player available through free agency that I am hoping the Canucks are looking at, to fill some of the holes at the bottom end of forward group, is, Sammy Blais. Gomma be a fun and interesting off-season.

If you are running with Petey as a second line center you need to overhaul the wingers. Your point about Mik not being a second line player is correct and this leads me to what I brought up yesterday. Do you consider Garland a second line player? He is paid even more than Mik. I love him but five mil for a third line player is not spending smartly. Again, moving on and replacing a cheaper type of Garland will bring in draft picks.

My trade wants this year were bring in Zadarov Lindholm and Guentzel. I think if they finished my wish list we would have made it to the cup. That said it was an excellent year.

One thing PA said yesterday that I liked hearing is they need to find the new Joshua for next year. I hope the overpays have stopped.

I don't think Tochett Kuzmenko and Petey are a good match. He did get us to the second round so no complaints but I have questions if their styles will clash in the future.

I will have to check out the chiefs when they come to PG, I’ll be going to lots of games a friend of mine’s son playing goal for the spruce kings he’s 17 and pretty good from what I’ve seen.

No coincidence but Kuz wasn’t fitting into the structure & wasn’t figuring it out with plenty of coaching. Points don’t win anything other than a contract. Winning is a team game not individual stats.
