It has been determined Tavares must be traded.
Domi @ 5/6 x 5/6 is insane. He scored 9 goals last year with 1 playoff goal.
Having never played more than 3 years on any team, just take the 4 x 4 Max and be happy at home. - Rare_Jewel
That would be utter madness. |

Madness. That is absolute madness to this Florida Man.
You have legal pot, but couldn't get beer at grocery stores.
Nuts. - GalacticStone
Everything here is complicated when it comes to regulation.
And here's where it may get weirder: the provincial government a few years ago allowed some (but not all) grocery stores to start selling beer, cider and wine.
Some grocery stores now want to get rid of it. It's not worth the hassle.
Because in Ontario all alcohol is heavily regulated. Most importantly, there is a price floor that you can't drop below. This was put in prior to the Canada-US Free Trade Agreement - it was a non-tariff barrier that prevented the big US breweries from flooding the market with their cheap crap and killing the Canadian brewing industry.
So the profit margins are not great for beer. Many grocery stores are realizing having a full aisle of beer is less profitable than whatever products they had before in that aisle. |

This is not a situation where management has told him to waive and he is saying no.
This is a situation of management not even asking him to waive.
That's not the Muskoka Five. That's the Mimico Mafia. That's on Shanahan. - Rare_Jewel
Get it through your thick skull JT is not waiving, even if/when management asks him.

Forgive my puritan heart, but I've always found it weird that you can buy beer at a gas station.
I know on a certain level it you drive to a liquor store, you drive to a gas station - no difference.
But it's weird. - Atomic Wedgie
It is surreal that you can drive up to a gas station, put gas in your monster truck, and down a tallboy of malt liquor at the pump while waiting.
Getting a DUI in Florida is a very low effort affair.

Considering how much the big grocery stores have marked up the prices of food you are bang on.

I liked the Red Barn. It was a drive through booze store
place and pay for your order at the front and get your product a few feet away without leaving your car. |

I was so baffled trying to buy beer in Ontario back in February. Couldn't find anything on the shelf larger than a 6 pack and everything was wildly more expensive than it is out here in Sask. |

It varies widely by state (or even county/city) in the US, but here in my neck of Florida, you can buy everything but hard liquor almost anywhere. Gas stations, convenience stores, grocery stores, and even department stores can offer beer and wine products. You can only buy hard liquor spirits at liquor stores. In my county, you can't buy any alcohol before noon on sunday.
It's funny watching men checkout for groceries at Walmart or Costco here. Every cart has at least one case of beer in it. The women have bottles/boxes of wine in their carts.
Walmarts sell hard liquor by having a separate dedicated liquor-only store next door that is attached to the same building, but has it's own entrance. The Walmart near me actually has a wide selection of premium bourbons. - GalacticStone
And an automatic weapon.
I'll stick with the Ontario mindset, tyvm. 😉

Yep. You can keep your idea of "freedom" in Florida.

Okay, Judgy McJudgerson.
Federal income tax is still a thing and that state. among others, has decided to not charge income tax. That's part of the society down there and the state makes its $ back in other ways.
I guess you hate Alberta too with its no provincial sales tax. |

People complain about it, but when I lived in another province I missed the provincial liquor store because it is the single biggest purchaser of alcohol in the world and has a way better selection than your typical private booze store.

Let's put it this way - I would never even visit, let alone live in Florida. I'd visit Alberta, but would not live there. And no, it's not primarily about tax laws. |

And there is no strong arming gorcing him to do it either. Cause the PA will have an utter field day with that one. The ball on it is solely in JT's court to do as he pleases. |

It's not so bad living on the surface of the Sun. We get three days in the "winter" that are nice.
