There's enough out there in FA this off-season for the Sabres to fill every need, and reasonably. Unfortunately most probably won't come here. - Buff36
Most likely the Top 6 remains the way it is. Those are players the Sabres should use their redundant prospects as part of a trade package for. I have very very low expectations for them doing so.
As a general rule, FA for Top 6 players results in pretty significant over pays, and you are right, the reality in Buffalo is many players don't want to come to a poop ass organization..those that would consider may cost even more than an overpay.
Darcy, errr Kevy really needs to swing a couple of trades before FA to even have good Bottom 6 players want to consider Pugula's suck ass Sabre Organization...and then, guess what...overpay there as well. But, he hasn't shown an ability to close deals...maybe he should hire a good closer to do his bidding.
Upon reflection now, maybe Kevy wishes he could have convinced Eichel and Sam to stay by actually doing something good to get them the supporting cast they needed before they FU'd the Org. Of course Murray and Botts also had a major hand in causing that eventual outcome.

😂 😂
Marcus Johansson out scored all the Sabres in worlds.
Leaders:
Matt Boldy
Kevin Fiala
Brady Tkachuk - I would trade the next 2 firsts and Levi + for him.
Canada didn’t medal. |

It would take alot more than that for him, but yes, he is for sure the guy I would want as well.
Something along the lines of Peterka, Tuch/Cozens, 2024-1st.
Power and Cozens both had several opportunities and choked. |

Adams plan has failed in regards to FA, he still doesn't know that you have to make it look like you are Trying to Win for FA's to come here. And you have basically cornered yourself in Trades because they can't have Clauses in there contracts, cause the Sabres are on most of them. His Rainbow really turned Sh!tty |

The clause issue is one of many reasons why Cirelli makes so much sense.
Savoie and the 2025 1st get it done? |

Would Tampa take that return, or would they also ask for a roster player as well? |

Go get Cirelli and Cernak, both sound like they could be had. Pay the price, there both young enough to do it for. Cernak I believe does have a clause that kicks in sometime though |

Right now I'm disappointed in 90% of the roster, so I "fear" I might sell low on 3/4 of these guys.
Brady brings alot that I think this team is severely lacking.
Power looked good as a rookie, and then regressed with 90% of the team. I think he will always bother me as another guy with size that refuses to use it to his advantage...that I just don't get, at all. That said, shipping him off creates another massive hole that will be difficult to reacquire.
And his miscues yesterday just reinforced the question of if he'll ever be a gamer.
I'm torn honestly. I guess I would want to see another year from him. |

Sabres beat writers Lance Lysowski and Mike Harrington prepare you for a busy offseason by answering several prominent questions about what to expect in the coming weeks.

“ Recruiting a free agent will prove challenging if the Sabres choose that route, though. Players pay attention. They talk. Goalies around the league know that Eric Comrie got stuck behind the younger guys the past two years, and it will be difficult to convince anyone that they’ll get a legitimate opportunity as the 1B with Levi pushing to be on the team. The Sabres believe in Levi’s ability to the point that he’s bound to get an NHL opportunity if he starts the year in Rochester. Buffalo painted itself into a corner with the situation, but at least both of its goalies are capable. Levi has the talent to succeed in the NHL today. The challenge will be ensuring both are playing often enough and maintaining their confidence along the way.”

Why shouldn’t Levi backup UPL ?
What UFA goalie out there is more appealing than Levi ?

Yeah, I wouldn't trade Levi, just not enough tread there with UPL. I expect Levi to take the Net sometime next Year. |

That’s a bold strategy, the position of strength turned into a massive ? by game 4 last year.
I wonder if Levi has been called to cook for Adams this offseason? |

I think he starts in Rochester, but by December he is up with the Sabres. He played well down the stretch |
