Thompson at 750K. That's the risk worth taking. Goalies usually cost less in the trade market and he's proven to be an experienced 1A option.

If not, you got a bunch of back-ups like Nedeljkovic, Stolarz or Brossoit that you have to hope can play 40 or more games.

Cam Talbot at 1 or 2 AAV could be worth it too.

I'd say the dark horse out there might be Matt Murray if he's healthy.

He's 30 and maybe you find something valuable in training camp if he takes a PTO.

Fury and Sgt. Rock comics. I'd have them with me when I sat in front of the TV to watch Rat Patrol.

I wish I still had all of those old comics. I don't know what happened to them. I bet my parents sold them in a garage sale or gave them away. Once I stopped playing with something and lost interest in it, it usually vanished. Sold for a couple of bucks at the annual fall garage sale. I'd have a small fortune in vintage collectible toys if I had been allowed to keep them all in a storage locker somewhere.

Had it for years in the back of my closet. At some point (after I moved out), my parents threw it out.

I don't know what set it actually was, but I'm guessing it would today be worth a thousand or two.

I can't think of a single other thing I owned that would be worth anything today.

I never kept anything in good condition - used it until it fell apart.

Does Vegas need a back-up that badly or do they need something else?

Thompson is a pending UFA and they already have Hill who is also a pending UFA at 4.9 AAV. They could sign another back-up for 750K and flip Thompson for an asset.
