Went there a couple of years ago.

If you don't mind that the state is trying to turn the clock back to the 1400s, it's a fun place.

There's 100 bars that have multiple floors - so there's always 2-3 bands playing, and each one is better than anything you ever heard in a Toronto bar.

Restaurants are OK - nothing terrific.

Tennessee State Museum is good.

They have a off/on guided tour bus.

We did a really cool VRBO Experience - went and toured a music studio that still presses vinyl.

And we didn't do it, but you can take Kentucky bourbon tours.

Yeah the music scene is really appealing. And a quick google has revealed some really good fishing options. It'll be in August so no Predators games for ZZ.

Anybody ever hang out in Nashville? Gf has a work thing there later this year so I could get four days of free hotel and food if I fly there, and apparently airfare to there isn't very Spencer For Hire.

Love Nashville - it's a super fun city and if your a live music lover it's unreal, getting to walk through the Ryman was very cool too. We enjoyed the hop on hop off tour alot, we were there for a Leafs game so it wasn't crazy like it is during peak tourist season. The hop on / hop off was us and one other couple from Texas - we got to chatting and they told us they felt "naked". We were like "uh oh are these the upside down pineapple people" and sheepishly asked why - they said "we don't have our guns on our hips".

Do yourself a favour if your a Blues or Elvis fan and take the 2 hr drive to Memphis and check out the duck march at the super fancy hotel it's actually pretty cool wife and I have seen it twice now.

Beale Street in Memphis rocks - Rum Boogie Cafe was our favourite place. Memphis is amazing for music and I still want to go to the minor league ball park there - it was right beside our hotel.

It's quite the show! If you go for the duck march go EARLY because it gets packed.

1st time we went we arrived nice and early and got a table in the lobby where we could see the ducks march off the elevator (yes they take the elevator - how else is a duck to get to their swimming fountain from their penthouse home?) and over to and into the fountain and watched them swim. We had a few cocktails and a snack to kill the time.

2nd time we were later and just stood around and although fun it wasn't nearly as good as getting to sit and enjoy without jockeying for position.

Edit forgot to add if you drive to Memphis hit up Sun Records - also amazing & to get to go into the actual studio where so many greats recorded is super cool
