I would never advocate for Fox News, but really it's another well for people to just opinion shop. There's so much news these days and people can't deal with it all so they grab what they want from who presents it. They'll gravitate towards presenter who says more of what they want to hear. It's a lot easier to process what you want to hear. This works for CNN, MSNBC or Fox. While I grant that Fox presents far less truth and far more skewed angles to its stories, all the narratives are created in a way to be palatable to their typical viewer.

Except this has devolved (as always) from a world event convo to one about politics.

I don't come here to talk politics or more appropriately (because i don't talk politics here) read the zealots on both sides of the political scale yap back and forth endlessly - I come to read / talk about hockey.

The conference finals are happening, the leafs have a brand new coach, rumours of making changes etc. etc. etc. so the concept there is nothing to talk about hockey wise doesn't ring true for me.

There are a bunch of places to talk politics, this isn't (supposed) to be one of them but here we are yet again. This is the talk that always evolves to people with differing views name calling, insulting etc. just clogging up pages with stuff most people don't want to read and technically isn't supposed to even be here.
