I still would keep Panarin. Hes never gonna be a grind it out player and we need that type of skill he has. Hell, the Panthers top line didnt score the last 2 games, but they did create. Im keeping Panarin

Drury needs to (if he’s still here) spend the entire offseason building a team that can beat Florida. Lavy needs to learn from this too and figure out what adjustments can be made to counter them. I’ve never seen a team play that aggressive, ALL THE TIME. Someone is always sprinting at you full speed. It’s like a hive mind type situation.

Disappointing end to the season. Curious to hear about the injuries, could explain things a bit.

I was fine with the 2nd line. They created and scored. Zib should have had tons of energy. He took the season off

Even at 31 yrs old & making just 800k - Vesey was a large loss - they never weee able to replace what he brought -

Is Rempe / Cuylle / Brodzinski the 4th line next yr ??

Are any of Roslovic / Weinberg or Wheeler brought back ??

Under Trouba's captaincy, they choked in 2022 being up 2-0 vs. Tampa, they choked in 2023 being up 2-0 vs. the Devils, they choked again tonight being up 2-1 with home ice losing 3 straight against Panthers.

If it was up to me, I dump all 3... Trouba Mika and Panarin. Make LAF the captain and give Vinny the A start fresh.

Will all this happen? Absolutely not.

What hurts as a fan is knowing you have a team good enough to make the playoffs, but you know deep down they dont have the gusto to get it done and will be let down.

Trouba will be a lot easier to move since he has a 15 team NTC. Mika would be very tricky since he has a full NMC. Either way, retention will probably need to be involved to move either.
