Wingers are easier to find then top 4 D tho.
I think they’ll prioritize D (and goal) and work from there.

Something, any good marketer would take full advantage of this years success.

I like the new version. I have good memories attached to it. When my Leafs fan buddies took me to the game and we pumped them a couple of years ago. I made him wait in the Canucks store while I picked a fitted hat out. The girl had to check the back room stock and came out 15 minutes later with my size. I did tell her to take her time. He ate it pretty good while we were waiting.

So Canes apparently don’t want Hronek for Necas, but want a high end prospect.

For those that want Necas, would you be comfortable including Lekkerimakki in a trade for a more proven player ?

No. They're going to need those cheap ELCs to supplement the team going forward. Lekker is probably a year away. Not worth trading for Necas if he's going back.

I would if he was signed for a reasonable number first…but that’s unlikely

Why not sign an UFA then? No assets required.

That will happen regardless. Who & how much & cap space to fill in the roster. Resigning or trading Hronek is yet to be known.

I imagine Necas will cost around 8 mil so get someone different. I would get out of the Necas race unless it was a swap for Hronek. There are better free agents.

I wouldn’t trade Hronek for Necas personally. Not to mention Carolina isn’t interested. Guentzel is the only high end UFA I’d have interest in but it’s unlikely he wants to play in Canada. If we did acquire him we would have to let Zad walk which would suck

I am not particularly aggressive about either player. I would definitely choose Z over Hronek. I find Hronek very average and would only pay him five mil. I know lots here like him but I thought he was very average riding on Hughes coattails.

Same.
Hronek >> Necas.
More proven and a more needed position.
And doesn’t require assets to acquire.

He's an RFA, there's no reason they can't negotiate him to a lower number. If he wants to hold out let him sit while you look for a trade in the fall

If they are signing Zadorov it will be well before free agency. That goes for all their free agents because open market they will get more for sure.

Now as for Canucks going after other free agents well it’s all about what money is left over. Bidding wars tend to price a team, looking to have a balanced roster, out.

RFA with arbitration rights, so either they sign him long term, sign him for 1 year at whatever number the arbitrator sets, don't agree and let him walk for nothing or trade him before arbitration.

I completely disagree. He was excellent on his own prior to his wrist injury. That being said, if he doesn’t want to be here he should be dealt asap. Hard to tell

He can file for arbitration and if we don’t accept he is a free agent
