Re: what does Linholm's contract look like...

The twins at Evolving Hockey project:
▪︎ Re-signs in Vancouver = 8 x $7.8m is 28% likely, next most likely at 21% is 6 x $7.1m
▪︎ Signs elsewhere is 7 x $7.9m at 33%, next most likely = 5 x $7.2m at 23%

That's alot of bread, but his PO scoring of 0.77 PPG was pretty good ... projects to 64 pts.

I like the player, I just don't think they'll go with that.

Maybe he’s worthy of it now. If Canucks sign him they won’t be able to keep the rest of their free agents. Let alone sign a top six winger.

Would rather not at those prices. Money can be better spent elsewhere over time I think.

It comes down to is lindholm a long term top 6 center. Is the exact type of player you need but we've already got Miller that's a bit older. If we double down on Lindy who is already showing the offensive side was more prospect of playing with Tkachuk and Gaudreau we better be sure he can get 70ish pts playing with Petey and Garland id say if we lose Dak

Why would Canucks want to pay 8 mil for a third line center? Don't we already have two top centers?

What about marchssault(probably not spelled right) on the cheap?
- neem55

Because everyone want to take a pay cut to play in Vancouver?

Also don't worry about the bad spelling, we expect it from you.

I think they'd like to retain him if they can. Not at that number though. He's getting $4.85 million on an expiring deal. Would he take 6-6.5? who knows. They'll be teams willing to pay more.

I am not sure if it is only about money. He was a top six player in Cgy and will be in Boston or another city. Here, his linemates would be Garland?

I am not sure why Canucks are looking for a second line center when they just signed one for long term at 11.6 mil.

Did they acquire him because they were considering pulling the trigger on EP?

I think only they can answer that but I hope that it is still an option.

JR likes Lindholm, he drafted him. Word is they'd like to re-sign him, depends how high he is on the priority pecking order. Re-sign D, top 6 forward, then?

I would like to see a swap of Brady Tkachuk for Petey and sign Lindholm at 7 to 8 mil. Trade Hronek for Necas and that would be a hell of a good line instead of Petey scrub and scrub. Lindholm has already played with one Tkachuck and did very well.

Boston would be smart to offer us a 3rd in order to negotiate an 8th year with Lindholm.

So sign Guentel or bring up Karlsson or Baines? I think you guys need to forget about signing Guentzel then you need to forget about finding golden nuggets on the farm. If the team is turning to the farm this year and calling in three to four players then lower your expectation on making the playoffs.

I think most on here know I think Petey's overpayment is a big mistake so you need to take a couple of value contracts this summer. I mentioned the Kotkanniemi trade, another one I would throw out is ( I know most on here will hate it already) is Hronek to Philly for Ristolainen (2 mil retained) Florida's first and Oliver Bonk.

I know most here hate Risto but he is nowhere near as bad as people think. He is Tyler Myers type player for three years at 3 mil per. Bonk is a first round RD.

Brendan Batchelor today talked about trading Boeser while he is a 40 goal player with a very good contract instead of trying to sign him again next season.

- VANTEL

Ristolienen has steadily declined for the past few years. This would be a disaster signing.
