It’s like the Oilers stole our plan…

Leafs negotiating new contract with Bert - Canada Cup
Maybe he can be convinced that the more money you are paid, the less goods and services you can then acquire - so unlike what the media have all the sheep believing, a low salary makes you richer. I just have a feeling he's susceptible to insane, idiotic ideas. |

$200 for a blank jersey.
$56 for a hat.
Too much. |

On a somewhat related note, I’m looking to buy an NFL jersey “inspired by authentic NFL licensed apparel.”
Anyone have a good site? |

That’s inline with the other stuff they sell, fitted hat prices are silly AF now a days.

The only Lightning jersey I currently own is one of the old loved/hated 3rd jersey with the lightning bolts on the sleeves that was used in the 90's. It's signed on the crest by Rob Zamuner. It has a small burn hole near the belly button from a stray one-hitter cherry from back in the day.
I traded a 20-sack of skunk and an old beat-up Lightning practice jersey for it. That was back around 1995 or 1996-ish.
I would never pay some of the prices new jerseys are going for now.
I still have my 2004 Cup championship hat, but it's too beatup and ragged to wear, so it's in a box. |

If McDavid can drag the Oilers to a Cup with Skinner in net and Ceci patrolling the blueline, we will know without a doubt that he is the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and that the endtimes are nigh. |

I mean it kind of points to the fact you don't need some perfect roster or defense to go on a run. Need your star players to play as star players CONSISTENTLY.
It's why I don't care if they "run it back" because I'm just hoping a healthy Matthews/Nylander duo can consistently win 16 games.

My bet that McDavid would lead the playoffs in points is still looking good. Even though I had them also losing in the third round to Dallas at the start of the playoff bracket challenge. |

I have always been 100% pro-Matthews. My faith has been shaken a little over the last couple of postseason runs, but I still think he has a higher playoff gear he could hit but just hasn't for some reason(s) that are obviously up for debate.
I keep waiting for Matthews to put this team on his back and drag them deep to the finals or to a Cup, but it never seems to happen. But, I would look at McDavid and think if he couldn't drag Edmonton to the finals, then maybe it really is poopty goaltending and coaching.
Now, if McDavid pulls it off and gets a Cup with this current Oilers roster, then Matthews should be able to pull off a similar feat if provided with a little better support in the form of a true #1 goalie and some help for Rielly on D.

Had Dallas in 7 and Panthers in 6, Dallas winning in 6. A bit rocky right now. |

That’s not happening ! I think any team that pays Marner over 9 mil is ridiculously stupid . Great player very talented but not when it counts. Blues aren’t going to trade Parayko .
I would offer Faulk and Buchnevich and Tor 2nd I would hold 50% on Marner for year and deal him to Pens for a lot of future. |

I hear you! Licensed merchandise is way too expensive. My last buy was the 100th anniversary addition Leafs jersey. Since then, I haven't spent a dime on merchandise. |

Guessed you missed the 5 years before last with this oxymoron of a sentence.
And I am Matthews biggest fan outside of Biebs. |
