Panthers had a game after Pitt was done. If Pitt won, FL could’ve won their last game and made it in. Panthers played Canes the last game, and they coasted. Funny thing is, if they would’ve won that last game (which became unnecessary when Pittsburgh lost), they would’ve faced Carolina instead of the Bs. The point you’re missing, Pittsburgh losing aside and technically “squeaking in”, is that the Panthers were on a run since January. They were playing well as the playoffs started.

Kane will be ready for game 1. Huge news for the Oil!

Kane could be one of the most important players in the Finals. Not only does he bring a toughness and edge the Oil need against the nasty Panthers but he neutered Tkachuk a couple seasons ago in the playoffs.

That decade really tested the resolve of a lot of Oiler fans. Us true fans stuck with them all the way through.

Hopefully now we reap the rewards with a Cup or 3.

Probably the lack of appreciation on here. Really you’re about the only consistent poster on the Oiler blog. Couple others pop in once in a while but basically a quiet place. I’m sure EK pays big $!
