Geez. Who the hell cares about Quinn hiring!!!?
Let's focus on future ..im.sure we can all fight about that as well, but at least it will be relevant - rrentz
That’s where my hopes lie. They have a solid core of young guys to build on. Kids who haven’t even come up yet too.
Rempe has me excited, and most of us. Once he plays more he could be a game changer
A fourth line of him Edstrom and Roobroeck is something the NHL would fear. That has the potential to change momentum in a game in an instant. This is where we lost the Florida series imo, bottom 6. Theirs was better, and played more |

Agreed their bottom 6 and defense being able to move the puck was the big X factor.

Laffy - 298 GP 148 pts .4966pts/gm
Chytil - 337 GP 144 pts .4273pts/gm
Kakko - 300 GP 117pts .3900pts/gm
30pt difference over 300 games when put in context as to the opportunities / linemates each has had isn't major. There is def an eye test, and a trend, and injury history for Chytil and Kako that need to be taken into context
Bottom line, Kakko is going to cost you maybe 3mm/year for a 23 year old guy who is going to play in bottom 6, hopefully stay healthy and gets a few more years before you completely give up on him
I'm now going to change my avatar form JT Miller to Kakko to piss everyone off.
EDIT - NOT COMPARING THEM AS PLAYERS, just stats.. Laffy had his breakout year this year (I'm pumped to see him next year) and Chytil.. I really feel can be special, IF he doesnt have his career eneded |

So if Florida loses to Edmonton it's because they didnt have the desire to win at all costs???? Nonsense .......you can have all the desire you want it comes down to skill and a game plan to maximize teams skills . Even after that there will be highly skilled and motivated teams that dont win the cup. - hfc355
Of course someone would take what I said beyond context. Both teams are in the SC final, both teams fought to get there. All of these teams have skills, high level skills, can score the light outs. However as some point there are things that cant be solely measured in skill that factor into games. |

Just don’t think kakko fits for what the team needs on the 3rd line. Same for chytl plus the injuries are a problem

Laf and Chytil can skate well which is ultimately the difference between them and Kakko. Unless he figures out how to skate and move around faster he’s a JAG. And I don’t think they can wait anymore for him, Jmo. They needed results this year and it didn’t happen. Kakko may actually only be a 4th line player so that 3 million bucks isn’t that great of look at it that way
They also have kids waiting in the wings (pun intended) to take that spot for ELC money on the cap (3RW). I’d expect him to be traded and othmann and Berard battle in camp for that spot
Kakko is definitely a problem unfortunately |

I think you’re little harsh on Chytil. Just him coming back was really good news because to a man most of us counted him out to even ever play again. Him staying healthy is a concern, but him as a player makes them a more dangerous team on the ice. This year was just a lost year for him
And I’m someone who really didn’t like him all that much, but you can see what he brings if he’s healthy. I don’t think many teams would trade for him either tbh because of the injury history, so we’re better off just keeping him |

Hawks will take him off your hands for a fifth rounder. |

To be clear I happen to like kakko and chytl. I just don’t know they are the fit the rangers org wants for a 3rd line. A two way center to replace chytl and a fast forechecking fwd to replace kakko might be better for that lines makeup |

Completely forgetting the only reason Edmonton hired him is because he coached McDavid in juniors. If that didn’t happen there is a better chance I get hired over Knoblauch
Rangers fault tho
This place is being “RUN” by two trolls, “POSING” as Ranger fans. Gearing every single conversation to the side of toxicity and virtually everyone, but me and jimmy, bow at their feet feeding them literally all day long. And we’re the bad guys for pointing it out
True story - Slimtj100
Hey TJ, you are alive, congrats man. Didnt think you were going to make it.

No, im devastated. I blame Lavy in the end over anyone else. All season I didn’t like the ice time he doled out and in the end, vs a relentless team, it bit them in the ass because they had nothing else to give.
As an example, Fox getting 25 minutes a game in January was not the best approach - Slimtj100
So you blame Lavi above everyone else??? Not the guys who didnt produce?? The coach just puts the guys on the ice, its up to them to produce.
Your 8.5 m dollar penalty killer did well!! He does all the other little things besides one, score!!
Nope you havent learned.

I dont think KK gets moved unless its a big trade. They arent going to trade him for a third rounder and have him turn into a point producer somewhere else.
Problem is he played with the RW killer line. I say break them up and make new lines. This team MUST improve 5v5. If they dont, the Cup drought will continue. |

Have to be a top 10 5v5 team. The last 9 of 10 cup winners were. Only exception was the caps in 2018 |

Marchessault, Stephenson, Toffoli, Duchene… some solid players available in FA I believe we should be persuing. The money saved by trading Trouba could be used on any one of them. |

Id guess like 6-6.5m. That would fill the 1RW vacancy. |

Id pass on Toffoli and Duchene, Marchessault would be intriguing, Stephenson maybe, he is listed as a center, can he play RW? |
