Half the battle is being lucky enough that your high end/priced guys stay healthy. By all accounts the oilers and panthers aren’t dealing with that atm - Slimtj100
I wanted them to trade for Trouba, I’ve defended him on here in the past. His playoffs were atrocious, now we know why. |

What about his play the entire time he’s been here? And let’s be honest he came back 8 games left in reg season. This is a cop out to back their captain as he won’t be moved.
Fox should’ve sat for jones if he hurt his knee again. - nyrangers2
not sure his ankle excuses his decision making - specifically game 4 OT. If his ankle was so bad why the hell did he skate from down low to the point to leave down low open. you'd think he's tried and skate less with a messed up ankle. i'm honestly just tired of everything about him - especially some of teh dirtier stuff as of late. he can go.

Someone wrote this on Twitter and pretty accurate.
Jacob Trouba was on the ice for 17 of the 35 opposition goals in the 2nd and 3rd round.
He was 5th on the Rangers in ice-time with a broken ankle
This was fireable offense by Peter Laviolette and the Rangers just sold their best chance they might have with this core - nyrangers2
Lavy had a bad series. The ice time and lineup was counter productive and basically shot themselves in the foot. How they didn’t dress 7 D at any point was a big mistake. You could see every shift how taxed/injured/slow etc they all were |

You’ve hated him since the moment he’s gotten here. He hasn’t been nearly as bad as you make him out to be. |

Lavy’s biggest mistake IMO was scratching Rempe and how little he played him when he wasn’t scratched. FLA was a different team with Rempe on the ice. He was the only one that made them think twice out there. The team as a whole plays different with him out there, and they play different for the better, not sure why he was so limited. |

He was a number 4 dman when he signed here being paid $8m put into some shut down drole he was never good at. He now looks like a 3rd pair. Just can’t pay $8m to someone who isn’t a true number 1.
And if his ankle was so bad why not LTIR and get hannafin or zadorov or chycrun to make a run. |

I know I’m a broken record with it..but
You see what the pair do shorthanded, and it’s phenomenal. Almost unbelievable at times how good they are together killing penalties. The most sensible argument is the RW sucked this year because the past few years the RW was flat out a better hockey player with them. Whether it’s was Zucc or Buch and eventually Vatrano, they are better then Kakko and Wheeler, and Roslovic (who I thought gave that line a little juice at times) - Slimtj100
Shorthanded and 5v5 2 different animals. Those short hand rushes are usually when there is only one defense man out there as most teams use 4 forwards. They take advantage and go the other way with a breakaway or 2 on 1.
Your assumption that it is the winger goes against common sense. How can they play better while shorthanded than when they have another player on the ice??? |

Rempe was great but he couldn’t skate with the panthers it was evident. Loved the energy but he’s 21 year old rookie
Sitting a 4th liner doesn’t have the same effect as playing two regular defenseman injured. Common sense. Lomberg was scratched who is more effective than Rempe. Losing forslibg and oel to injuries would’ve made more of an impact to Florida’s game |

For all we know there may have been discussions to acquire other d men but the cost was viewed as too prohibitive. |

I like Rempe but I don’t aspire to the view that he was the difference maker. I am sorry, I don’t. He may have helped once Vesey was lost which was a bigger impact that people realize. |

Yea it doesn’t change the fact he is a 3rd pair d man on this team making 8 million a year. Need to cut bait if you can |

All you had posted was that it was broken during the year, nothing about it being broken in the playoffs. |

#NYR Igor Shesterkin was still pretty hard on himself:
“I just know I could make another save and we could probably score after that.”
He’s such an incredible competitor.
“I just want to say thank you so much. It was really amazing to play at MSG and on the road trips. Best fans in the league and I can’t wait to get back next season.” |

Semantics. From what was posted, sounds as if he was still limited by it during the postseason |

Did they say when it happened? If I recall one blocked shot seemed to do the damage they’re referring to. I think it was around the bye week |

When he was first injured. That’s what it sounds like to me from reading the tweets. Not sure anyone said specifically when it occurred though. |

Just looking back he got hurt on March 4th and his first game back was March 30th. Broken ankle doesn’t heal in a few weeks (as far as I know). It is curious why he played so early after it happened.
I have a tough blaming many players this year, Jmo. Coach and FO dropped the ball a bit |
