It's insane. I tend to lean optimistic with this team (not quite to your level) which I get is out of favor right now but some of these takes are just crazy. This blog was blowing each other after Game 6 against the Canes, Tom admitted he was wrong, Brukie was feeling optimistic for once etc. etc., and then after losing a hard fought series to the defending EC champs we're ready to blow it all up. Laviolette who everyone had a hardon for all year is now on the hot seat with some people.
I get we're in the beginning of offseason blues but this place just feels like Kanye West these days. Bi-polar - SkjeiStadium
Speaking for myself, I havent said much on Laviolette and wont. I think he did a good job.
Again, I dont know why its considered blowing up the team by trading Trouba (because I believe Schneider has passed him on the depth chart), Chytil and Kakko. |

Ah yes, lets hand out playoff participation trophies.
Reenergized a floundering team that ultimately choked in the playoffs after being up 2-0 against the Devils, wiping the floor with them 5-1 in consecutive games, then loosing the next 3 out of 4. - aecliptic
Any captain that doesn’t lead his team to a cup in 3 years should be stripped of the C. Perfect logic by you yet again. |

My only beef with Lavy is the ice time to players. It was far too heavy on the big guys all year when it didn’t need to be (earlier on the season). They were flat out gassed vs Florida |

At the time of that hit: Rangers were already losing 2-0 in game 7, with 14 minutes left in the 3rd period. That hit literally evoked and meant nothing. - blacksheep1
And yet if he didn't throw it he would've been ragged on for not showing any heart or trying to get his team going. Down 2-0 with 14 minutes left is far from game over.
I'm not going to get into this with you because you are impossible to talk to. All you want to do it talk about how right you were that they lost. And if they won you would have been in here celebrating with everyone saying how "happy you were to be wrong"
You're too soft of a human being to show any sort of vulnerability and instead fall on playing the contrarian card where you are rooting for the team you care about but can always fall back on "being right" if they don't win, which 97% of the league doesn't every year.
You said in a previous post you think they should trade Laf and Shesty, along with the bulk of their other players and rebuild. When they were rebuilding, you had endless criticism of how they rebuilt, how they drafted, and how they have historically developed players. Yet you want to go through all of that again even though this team has been in the final four 2 of the past 3 seasons. |

Like I said I wasn't arguing your point on trading Trouba. It was the disrespectful and obviously agenda-laden description of him that I was criticizing |

Should be stripped of the C because he tries to Check Okposo here who is circled and doesn't have the puck.

Its not that he hasnt led them to the finals, its that...
We were up 2-0 on the Lightning, then lost 4 straight.
We were up 2-0 on the Devils, then lost 3 out of 4.
We were up 2-1 on the Panthers, then lost 3 straight.
If the circumstances were different, if the cap crunch wasn't such a hinderance, I wouldnt care.
However, we are right there, knocking on the doorstep and as it is, right now, this team cant kick this door open. I am so confident that if they could have found the next gear, they could have beat either team in the west this year. But they didnt, and they havent been able to turn on that next gear, that playoff gear, for 3 years now. Lightning turned it up, they lost... Devils turned it up, they lost... Panthers turned it up, they lost.
Unfortunately Trouba is a casualty of the situation because he eats up a lot of cap space and Schneider has passed him on the depth chart imo. |

If you think you either a) didn't suggest trading Laf and Shesty, or b) didn't criticize their drafting and player development, then you are proving my point that it's not worth talking to you because you aren't interested in a conversation.
You want to post memes and say " I was right" and cause a stir. Which is your right and I won't try to stop you from doing so but I'll stop engaging you and taking you seriously because you aren't a serious person |

Did you miss the bolded part?
Yes I want them to trade Laf and shesterkin. Let this loser core wallow. The best returns they get from starting a rebuild would be Shesterkin and Laf. supply and demand. |

The part that you bolded to say it wasn't true?
You have said yourself many times that you have no confidence in this team drafting or developing talent. Yet you want to trade away two of their best drafted and developed players that are in/entering their prime, to punish the "loser core" so that we can take the assets we get from those trades and presumably fumble them.
I'm starting to see why you post the charts so frequently, it allows you to get away with not forming your own opinions which you clearly struggle to keep straight

Nobody has had the opinion of:
Blow it up for the 3rd time, trade Laf and Shesterkin, let the loser NMC/NTC wallow, except me. that is a 1 of 1 take. Chris Drury won't do that because he's a coward. James Dolan won't do that because he's an ego maniac.
20 years of elite, hall of fame goal tending and nothing to show for it. So who really the most importnat in this organization? Benoit Allaire. |

And you wear that like a badge of honor where you are the smart one and everyone else are idiots. You are the brave, altruistic opposite of Drury and Dolan and we should all be so lucky to have you be the GM. Give me a break |

Do you not understand how rebuilds work? Nobody is gonna want meek Zibanejad, aging chris kreider, fraudulent panarin, lost Trouba. etc.
You normally trade assets of value. Big if true. |

You speak (type) in a tone that is dismissive of other people's opinions and has a superiority complex. You also pick select words from people posts out of context, twist them and then combat a point that isn't being made while avoiding the true point of the post.
For instance, you never answered why you would want to start a rebuild when you don't trust the management that is in place to lead that rebuild. Wouldn't we be better off crossing our fingers and hoping one of these years that we can get past the ECF rather than hoping this management staff that is so inept in your eyes can make multiple trades, signings and draft picks to put together a team that is better than top 4 in the league? |

He clearly anticipated a drop pass that didn’t happen. Bad play. Move on. When you’re playing with an injury sometimes you do things you normally wouldn’t do. Trouba isn’t as bad as he was the end of the season and playoffs. Let’s wait and see next year before we launch him to the moon. |
