Dead. On. Balls. Accurate.
And now he has a Robin who is somehow respected when all he does scream into our eyeballs all day long.
Bizzaro world man - Slimtj100
I wouldn’t equate not engaging with respecting, with regards to Robin. |

They even sent a letter out. Who does that? After Laf, the best prospect we have is still college.
The impatience right now is really off the chain man
We didn’t lose 4 straight by 5-0 scores. We lost one goal games and one in ot on a PP goal, with half the defense running on one leg. If we’re healthy and have all the ammo we need, we could beat whoever. We got dealt a bad hand last series. - Slimtj100
Yes, the letter. But, that doesn’t mean they actually went through a whole rebuild.
Edit: some FA signings and the lottery certainly helped expedite things. |
|
|
|
Man oh man, if they didnt and they went solely off of the drafts they had from 2017 to 2019 and no major signings, this would be one traumatic team to watch. - aecliptic
Agreed. i do not trust their drafting fully at all tbh

The letter was great. I just do not think Dolan has the patience to do what the hawks, wings, devils, avs did bc he loves his money. So the rangers had an expedited retool/rebuild.
I was good with that

So a 1RW and a rebuilt 3rd line is all we need. - aecliptic
Yep crazy. Fox being hurt really put our chances in the tank. No one can believe that irdc, but it was the worst possible player to get hurt for us, and not be himself.
The 4th line needed to play more too (to keep others fresher). I’m sticking to Lavy blowing it, but I’ll give him another chance. |

To boot, Florida is even better then the Kings team who beat us and that’s saying something
To be fair, I don’t think many people hate on Fox at least. |

Stop engaging the troll that has been banned multiple times. Multiple account names. Why Jan has allowed him to stay is the real head scratcher. He is a Devils fan that simply is playing the long game trolling us over and over. It is refreshing to see that others are finally figuring him out too. - TommyGTrain
1. Not a Devil fan.
2. Jan can't ban me, he isn't a mod.
3. I have violated the coc.
4. All the Rangers have to do is:
A. Win a championship.
B. Rebuild the right way. |

In the moment the only person that I was really pissed with is Zib, but Im over it and hes not going anywhere.
People might think Im pissed at Trouba, but thats not the case. |

The thing about Trouba is no matter who they get to replace him will probably be destroyed on a daily basis too
If he’s here and playing less minutes he’s probably better player, which is what he’d be doing on the 3rd pair that your talking about
This whole season I’d bring up Schneider needed to play more so that will finally be happening, so maybe that helps things 🤷🏻♂️
Zib line gets Marchessault, all will be forget on how bad he was this year. 3 threats as opposed to two makes all the difference in the world (being open, getting shots off, etc) |

Except less minutes @ 8m is a very very expensive price tag. That contract, will hinder any chance of upgrading at the positions that you mentioned. |

Zib not scoring for 8 games was one thing, but then for him to become a complete TO machine costing them goals and games was a huge issue |

You shorted that fraud 3 games. It was 11 games without a goal.
Edit: 8 games would have been an improvement. |

Theyre coming off a draft that was probably one the best we’ve ever had
This falls under the catagory of complaining just to complain about something because that’s all you have the ability to do
2020 draft, take a look |

It is what it is dude
Again, complaining for the sake of complaining because no one has the ability to do anything else other then complain. Troubas salary isn’t as big a deal next year, the following year is worse (I think you know that). Maybe that’s when they buy him out even
You think Tanev? Chairot? Pesce? Etc. won’t get killed here?
Oliver Kylington is a target I wouldn’t mind going after |

I dont care if they get killed. Theyll be getting killed for half the price tag, granted I wouldnt chase any defensemen unless they were for the 3rd pairing and making less than 3m per year. |

I’m not dumb enough to think this will go over well lol
But imo the org will ultimately decide to “run it back” understanding things can be different next year with some improvement from guys, better health from guys, and a year under Lavy. Tinker - with trading probably Kakko, have a kid or two make the team to help with the cap. Maaaaybe sign a RW and add some depth.
Rempe gave them some juice and player they can use a lot more in the regular season not fearing playoff mistakes. The size we have coming is nit something we really refer too (Edstrom and roobreock) COULD be a game changer as a 4th line, or parts of it. That would help vs the floridas, and bigger teams we have trouble with.
Bottom line is we aren’t a finish product yet and it takes time…but no one sees the light and is consumed with the now |

Idk we’ll see what happens. Trouba gone is just not something I see happening next year, yet
In a perfect world imo, 3 pairs play 20 minutes each… which they could probably do next year. No matter who it is really. Or at worst 22-20-18…they need to ease up the minutes on Fox and Lindgren without a doubt |

When is the last time a team went to the conference finals twice in 3 years and blew up the roster? Has it ever happened?
Drury and co are no doubt disappointed about losing to Florida but view this season as a positive and while some changes will likely be made even if just due to the FAs we have, major changes are most likely not coming, trade clauses aren't being waived and we are mostly "running it back."
All things considered this is a group that's fun to watch, flaws and all, and while this year ended in somewhat disappointing fashion we aren't the Maple Leafs who have had the same core for the same time period and haven't gotten past the first round more than one time. They aren't the bar, but things could be worse |

Lets say we run it back...
Kreider, Zib, _________
Panarin, Trocheck, LAF
Cuylle, Chytil, _________
Vesey, Goodrow, Rempe
Lindgren, Fox
Miller, Schneider
Jones, Trouba
Shesty, Quick
We have 5.79m to find 2 of either a 1RW, 3C, 3RW, plus a 13F/7D for the bench. Lets say they call up Othmann to play 3RW and Harpur to be the healthy scratch.
Were now down to 4.1m to find a 1RW or a 3C.
The point Im trying to make is, this team can win games, theyre very good and theyll make the playoffs, however I dont know if this team after 3 playoff runs where they gave up 2-0, 2-0, 2-1 series leads have the next level playoff hockey gusto to take that next step to the Cup final and ultimately win. |

How much would Tarasenko get you think? That’s probably right in that ballpark since it’s another year older for him. I feel like he would be a Ranger if they could’ve given him a few million instead of Ottawa. But they couldn’t, so now we can
I can fully agree they probably need one forward signed via FA. And a fairly decent one |

If they win the cup, his price goes up. I dont think hes signing in NYC for less than 5m. Unfortunately, we have to pay more for guys because the taxes in NYC are outrageous. |
