Kreider never was a first line LW. He is paid to be a second liner. The fan base always had unreal expectations for what he is. Panarin is the top line LW
The problem is Zib is paid to be a standout 1C, so you really can’t bring in another highly paid center when you have him and Trocheck already making about 14 million between them - TPC
That’s why the big changes have to be to top 1rw and depth fwds. And the biggest is to defenseman who can more the puck to help support 5v5 play

Yep RW1 and another solid 3rd pair right handed d man to replace Trouba should be priority |

Trade Lindgren rights for chycrun. Trade trouba and eat half the money. |

I am torn on Lindgren. He is a solid shut down d man. Problem is he is coming off his worst season, is always banged up and is due a raise. You need players like him come playoff time. I am seeing how much he wants on a short Term deal first |

If only they a an emerging top 6 RW that had Chemistry with 20 and 93. Imagine that... |

He could be an option this offseason again, going into the last year of his deal |

You absolutely listen to offers for kakko and chytl. Not the right ingredients for nyr cup run - nyrangers2
Chytil is damaged goods. No one will pay up for him..why should they? If someone does..jump on that trade!! If not... Play him on the wing and LTIR him when he gets hurt again.
Kakko is a serviceable 3rd liner, but does he help NYR? Is his value going to bring back anything better? He will get more, but he's worth 1mill per.

Kakko doesn’t fit the 3rd line PO mold. Chytl is more of a cap dump. He’s useless as a 3c for a cup contender

5 years seems long for him but they may need to go that long to keep the AAV Down |

Should have never been allowed to leave. Especially when 3/4 of the players brought in to replace him are gone and the other is Barclay Goodrow. |

He's not. But the problem with him is the injuries. |

Know this off-season needs to spent addressing 5v5 play, but how on earth can you keep Laf off PP1 next season? Who sits, and/or is moved who’s currently on PP1?
As Brooks pointed out, Kreider is really the only moveable player but that doesn’t really make sense for the overall roster. Trocheck wins draws which was huge for that unit. Mika was a staple on the left hash, but lost it for most of the year. They have 4 righties on that unit, so adding Laf for Mika seems to be the only logical move but are you really sitting your “#1 center” on PP1? Tough calls to make. |

Lindgren jus is not a number 2 dman. In a reduced role and decent contract it works. But he could have priced himself out of NY |

A year ago this would be crazy, but it has to be Mika. Demote him and force him to take it back from Trocheck.
He needs to hit the gym and go through a boot camp to change his mindset. Like I need him dropping the gloves game 1 type changes.

Hey at least you spelled all the words in this post correctly. Things are looking up for you, although almost everything looks up from where you are in life. |
