Draisitl elbowed Barkov and he’s out of the game. If Trouba did that - Slimtj100
On Sportsnet, they said there wasn’t a penalty called till the refs huddled together. You can’t call a 2 minute minor after the play. Then Ekblad almost choked out Bouchard, he tapped lol |

Rangers so far have Florida a tougher time than edm. Really a shame bc the rangers could’ve beaten edm imo if they advanced |

Florida looks unbeatable. Let’s get the season over with and move on to the draft and free agency
Cap floor going up by a few million, few teams will probably need to take on bad contracts to reach it. Other than Trouba, probably wouldn’t impact the Rangers unless Zib decides he wants out. Still torn on that though, he need to learn to hit this offseason. |

I know we complain about NY, but this shows me that I think we actually have a really good team. Yes, tweaks are needed, but if we scored in game 4 OT instead of Florida, we would have been up 3-1 against a very good Florida team. I think we’re close Ranger fans.

Agree completely. The negativity is recency bias, it was a great season. If Mika doesn’t have a bad year, and if Fox and Trouba aren’t each playing on 1 leg who knows what could’ve happened.
Give Laf a chance to be the guy in 24-25. Build a 3rd line. Add a top line RW, some D depth and there’s no reason to believe they can’t go on another run.

What transpired before that OT in game 4 pissed me off. In the last 10 seconds or so, Rangers had a 2-on-1 but Zib was held, spun around by said hold, and taken out of the play. The Ranger with the puck (Kakko?) was 1-on-1 with the D-man but was blatantly tripped by a stick in the skates.
NO PP. Should have been a two--man advantage based on how the officiating was calling penalties on the Rangers, but nothing. Would it have mattered? I would have liked to have had the chance to find out. |

Florida is a buzzsaw. They have everything and there wasn’t much we could do. We played them toughest of all 4 rds. Oilers can’t match up, they have one softish goal in two games

I’d say after watching these two games the top 6 may have received too much heat. The bottom 6 scoring depth and team defense are bigger issues. Wennberg kakko trouba Gus all can’t be here next year |

Our top 6 is fine if we get a god damn RW who is worth a damn. I said it all season and I get hollered at lol it’s the most obvious thing we’ve seen in years regarding the Rangers |

I say it all the time, the most important line to winning a Stanley Cup is the 3rd line. In today's hockey, if you're not getting secondary and tertiary scoring, you're not winning the cup. |

The only solution is via trade, I think, on an expiring contract. Unless they want to continue this experiment with Chytil at RW, that would leave a hole at C that they'd likely need to fill through free agency.

I think fil gets RW1. Seemed like they want to keep him away from open ice as much as possible (which we talked about here) It’s easier to get a 3C over a 1RW anyway, and cheaper |

Yea, it’s not happening but I don’t remember him being so soft when he first got here. Good defensive player, but gotta play the body in the post season. He’s too passive. |

It’s not his game. McDavid is running around hitting everyone. Hughes isn’t doing that. Zib would get hurt if he did that and then we’d be (frank)ed
Not EVERY hockey player needs to be physical to be effective. Barkov doesn’t run around hitting everyone he is just a very sound player in every aspect of the game |

The Rangers need their top players to produce in the Playoffs, its that simple. Your first line cant just wilt under pressure. They had some chances and just couldnt bury it!!
Wennberg, Wheeler, Roslovic and Pitlick are gone.
Cant see KK getting moved because it will only further deplete RW. Unless another RW is coming back, cant see it.
Do they go and sign another free agent or promote from within. Will be interesting to see how much faith Drury has in Mika. |

Just looking at a mock draft there’s a couple big RH defenseman in the general area of their pick. If I had to guess I think that’s probably where they go
Charlie Elick
EJ Emery
Both big kids
Smallish LHD in there too. Couple of centers. If they take a winger I think we should rage |

I will say this, for all the acclaim that Barkov got in the series against us... Barkov only had 1g 3a. Since game 5 against Boston until game 6 vs the Rangers, Barkov only had points in 2 games. Thats 6 games, with a guy playing 21+ min a game, that he had a donut. I dont call that your superstar stepping up to produce. Tkachuk, 1g 4a against us, producing in only 3 games of the 6 against us. Neither one of Florida's stars were killing us. So when I look at, for example, Panarin's stats of 1g 3a its on par with what Florida's stars were averaging in the series. The Florida series was all about secondary and tertiary scoring, the proof of that was in the 2 games we won when Goodrow scored in both games and Wennberg scored the OT winner. |

take the best player available or trade down if that person is a LW. would rather get the best player at that spot and by the time they pan out if it's not a need trade them for their equivalent. don't need another mcilrath by drafting for current need. |
