Depends on your point of view, Mika, Trocheck, Chytil, Goodrow, Rempe and Edstrom
Those I would say are our top centers in the organization. - Brukie
Outside of Mika and Trocheck, the centers are meh. Ive never liked Chytil as a center, and by the looks of it, he might end up getting time as a RW. Goodrow, eh. The obsession with Rempe gets a bit carried away, he has a lot of work to do on his skating. Edstrom, need to see more of him. Nothing left really in the pipeline worth talking about. |

Korczak and McConnell-barker have middle 6 potential but that’s it |

When Korczak got drafted I was very optimistic based on his play in juniors, but havent heard or seen anything suggesting that he could crack the NHL lineup. |

McDavid is a generational talent, Zib isn’t. - nyrangers9479
What does that have to do with hitting people? Lol
The point is not every guy is going to out of his way to blast people into the boards, and it’s ok. If Zib did that every shift he’d probably be out for the season by November
Just get him a (frank)ing RW with talent and everyone, including Brukie, can stfu already about him. |

As successful as the rangers have been at goalie over the years in the draft, they’ve been as unsuccessful drafting centers |

Saw a rumor Kings might try and trade PLD.
Saw another rumor Rangers should try and make another Brassard for Zib type of trade, but this time Zib going the other way for PLD.
I’d be extremely happy with that. |

He is rumored to be the biggest locker room cancer in the league. Which is why he has been on 3 different teams in the last 3 or 4 years. Plus making 8.5M for another 7 years. The talk out here in So Cal. is how the Kings should just buy him out because they would only have to pay 1/3 of his contract, and they can be done with him

The Stanley Cup would have to finish before June 24th. Which is looking like a strong possibility |

The only thing in his favor is he’s been in the bottom 6 and maybe he’s disgruntled because of that. So he’d get top 6 here, and be happier. I just don’t love it. I know he’s your boy so I won’t argue with you about it. To me it feels like hes a guy that got his fat contract and doesn’t care about winning really |

I think he’s unhappy with his role. As a 20 year old kid he put up 60+ pts centering Panarin in CBJ. I can’t see how he would be upset doing that again on the top line.
He’s a high draft pick playing in the bottom 6 with the ability to play in the top 6, of course he’s unhappy. He’d be a perfect fit for this team. 6’4 225
Physical, big, skilled etc. If he’s available, we have to see what it would take. |

I’d be on board with him if it was Kakko and Trouba, not Zib. I don’t think they want a center back anyway which is the whole problem with him right now (being 3C). Not sure what their RHD looks like. I know Doughty and Brandt Clarke, but maybe Trouba would slot in on the 2nd pair?
I’d deal with this top 6
Kreider Zib Trocheck!!
Panarin PLD Laf |

Taking a top 10 in the entire NHL faceoff leader out of the middle? My issue with Zib on top of him being on the softer side, that contract is going to be terrible in a few years. He’s going to be 37 at the end of that contract, I’d rather have the guy signed to similar years (1 year difference) but is 5 years younger.
We need to get bigger and more physical to play against, I was finally with some of u on the getting rid of Trouba train but said I’d wait to hear if he was dealing with a serious health issue before I passed judgement, turns out he was and I’m fine with him being on the roster next year. |

You could either move Chytil to RW and Trocheck center 3rd line, or Zib is RW. Maybe that’s what he needs. Trocheck would be a menace along the boards tho
You know what would happen? Trocheck makes that line ALOT better

I know it’s blasphemy around here to talk about, but I don’t see Vesey having a spot/being a fit in the bottom 6. He doesn’t score enough to be counted on for the 3rd line, and he’s not physical enough for the 4th line (IMO).
The 4th line should be Rempe Goodrow Edstrom and someone as an extra. If u want to say Vesey is that extra, I could get on board, but not as a regular.
3rd line I think will have Othmann on it and if we don’t find a 1st line RW (Chytil possibly) I’d give Cuylle a shot up there. A 3rd line of Cuylle Othmann and a veteran center (maybe Bjugstad) could be affective.
I’d see what Logan Stanley would cost and put him with Fox (trade Lindgren unfortunately)
Kreider Zib Laf (I think they need someone with a motor to get them going a bit)
Panarin Trocheck Chytil
Othmann Bjugstad Cuylle
Edstrom Goodrow Rempe
Miller Schneider
Stanley Fox
X Trouba
I like Middleton from MINN to pair with Trouba or Zadorov. I still think that top 6 is lacking some physicality to it though. |

I’m not commenting on your whole post, but just the part where you said Vesey doesn’t score enough for the third line. Can you elaborate? Every single full season he has had in the league he scored double digit goals. |

He has 2 playoff goals in 31 playoff games. Not good enough for the 3rd line come playoff time. Also mixed into the 11 and 13 goals he has last 2 seasons is multiple empty netters |

Get me PLD for Zib, and this team is much more ready for the playoffs. We might not get the fancy presidents trophy, but we’ll be much more prepared for playoff hockey. |
