Thats the authors opinion, nothing more!!

But he does make some good points. To think Mika and Panarin will get better with age is pushing the envelope.

We will see.

Panarin I think can keep going. He is rarely injured and is just an amazing player. Might be a slight dip, he had a fantastic year, but I'm not worried about him

Possibly. I just want a full year of Chytil without injuries to see where hes at.

I’m very encouraged by a couple things with fil. Mostly taking that hit from Mikkola where it didn’t look to phase him. And coming back this season in general. Hopefully he can put a lost year behind him because they REALLY need him moving forward

Chytil is going to WPG as part of the Ehlers trade to make the $$ work

Yup. He has the skills, just been really unlucky with injuries and never had a real set line.

Scary thing with brain injuries is that he could take 1000 hits just fine and all it takes is one to potentially end his career

And hopefully he is healthy as this is the first season he played 82 games as he has always been injury prone. Plus he has one year left before he is a UFA

That is always the worry. I am in no way comparing Chytil to Crosby other than the head injury aspect. There was always a fear that Sid was a brush away from ending his career and it just doesn't seem to be an issues for him in recent years.

They played him on RW I think to lessen the chances of contact (avoiding open ice), so that might help his cause. Moving forward I think we’ll see him permanently on RW1. He didn’t really click with Zib and Kreider but they just kind of had to do it without any really practice time. Training camp wil help if they did that

One is 28 coming off a career best season making $6 mil for one more year while the other is 24 making $4.4 mil with three years left on deal he signed towards end if his breakout campaign

i'm just super wary of Chytil from a health perspective and his ability to play as a 3rd line Center. Ehlers comes with his own concerns but is super skilled. He's an upcoming UFA, sign him as part of the trade? Both have low values, Chytil for health reasons and Ehlers because he wants out.

I don’t think Chytill has any trade value at all right now. Think teams want to see him stay healthy for a full season before they offer anything in a trade

Never used that one before

I think most wingers can adjust to other sides pretty easily. Who knows maybe Othmann takes the opportunity and runs with it on the RW1. The little we saw of him he had a few moments where I was like wow. Then they didn’t play him. But that first game he looked like he belonged
